We are a family owned and operated local business. Originally started at a home improvement company, we soon found ourselves focusing more and more on cellar doors. The market wasn't well served and many people expressed frustration finding an affordable company to replace their door. Since 2013, our focus has been on cellar doors.
So now you're thinking about a new door, but aren't really sure what you need. Something as simple as a door can have more choices than you originally thought. Do I need plates? What about paint vs powder coating? Will a cap help? Which manufacturer should I choose? Whats different with door manufacturers?

Dennis at Gibson Cellar Door and Window framed and installed an exterior door in my basement. I called for a quote on a replacement bunker style exterior metal door but Dennis found it to be in good condition and quoted instead an exterior door at the base of the stairs. The install was completed at the quoted time and price. John and Mark did good work and additionally modified and repaired the stairs leaving the site in good condition.

Gibson Cellar Door installed my new cellar door and it looks fantastic! Dennis was a pleasure to work with the entire process. He has a no pressure sales approach which I really appreciate. My door color was backlogged due to Covid but Dennis kept us in the loop. Highly recommend Gibson Cellar Door! Plus he's great with dogs which is always nice with a contractor.

Quoted a new entrance door for our basement. Said it would be installed before Christmas guaranteed. Refused to take a deposit or contract. I called three times and each time the secretary said she’d have him get in touch with me. Never showed up or heard from him again. Our floors above were freezing all winter.

We needed a new hatchway door and had several quotes done. Dennis was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The price was very reasonable. It was a few week's wait for the door to arrive but well worth it. The 2 men that came to install were prompt, professional, and polite. They cleaned up after working and promised to return soon to finish the mortar as it was raining that day. To our pleasant surprise, they arrived bright and early the next morning and finished the job. Both days they offered to show us the work they did and answered any questions we had.
