I've been a Pug's customer for 25 Years. I've relied on them in the past to repair the oil furnace in my home. The technician was courteous and experienced. In November when a cold snap came, my furnace went into a lock out failure. The system uses a heat pump with oil back up. The clown they sent out didn't replace anything. He was frustrated and discourteous to my wife when I questioned his diagnostic capabilities. We paid $200 and I knew it would fail again. The next cold snap four days before Christmas, no heat again. We called and they promised a technician the next

Revising my opinion of Pugs Fuel oil Services. I've been a Pug's customer for 25 years. I have a heat pump system with oil back up. Six weeks ago when cold weather hit, my furnace changed over to oil from heat pump because of the ambient temperature. I called Pug's for service. They sent a technician who didn't know how to fix it. We talked on the phone and I told him what he did would not resolve my issue. He left my system set to emergency heat. Two days ago when the weather turned bitter cold, once again , no heat. We called for service and were told a technician would be out the next day. The

I have had a great experience related to tuning up my furnace. I used a very well known oil company/service contract which did a horrible job maintaining my furnace...winters where the service man did not have connections so there was no heat — oil not being delivered. So I went to locally owned Pugs where I have had no issues. They have been attentive, maintained my furnace even though I had trust issues and explained everything to me. I’m grateful for the servicee Errrrr from Pugs and their maintenance workers

We have heated our home for over 50yrs with oil. When we switched to Pugs Fuel Oil company it was the best decision we ever made. They are knowledgeable about their business and willing to share that knowledge with their customers. Dependable, friendly and respectful. Willing to work with you. The service repairman, Mike, was on time. He was very polite and let me watch as he cleaned and inspected my furnace.
His work was very complete and thorough.The entire time he worked on our very dirty furnace he was extremely careful and neat.
There was no soot left anywhere in my basement. In fact, he probably left it cleaner than before he came to the house.

I, unlike the previous reviewer, love Pugs. When I bought my hundred year old Baltimore row home, the previous owners had already signed an oil burner maintenance and delivery contract with Petro. For two winters I was in a constant state of panic because my oil burner barely worked and used thousands of dollars in oil just to heat my 1,600 sq ft house. I saw Pugs making oil deliveries in my neighborhood and decided to give them a call. For the last 7 years I have relied on them for my annual tune up and oil delivery. I have a very old oil burner but their techs know how to make it run right

If I could give zero stars I would. I had a contract with them to service my heat and a/c. They came out and did the service on the furnace a few years ago. The service technician told me I had a cracked heat exchanger.
For some reason I knew something was up. I went down and opened the cover on the furnace and found an oily rag that I knew hadn't been there before. So I closed it back up with the rag in place.
