Jerry Dulas founded Dulas Excavating in 1971. Graduating from Heavy Equipment Training, at what is now known as Central Lakes College in Staples, MN, Jerry returned to his hometown of Wells after serving with the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. Over the past 40 years, Jerry has worked hard to build a highly respected, dependable organization known for delivering accuracy and productivity.
During his tenure, the business has expanded to meet the needs of the client base. Jerry manages the overall operations of Dulas and facilitates the ongoing business strategy to ensure consistent delivery of his vision. The youngest of the Dulas children, Ike was naturally drawn to the heavy equipment.
He first began running a dozer with his father at the early age of eight having to sit on telephone books just to see out the cab. After graduating from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Ike worked for several other related businesses before joining Dulas in 2005.

Services
Dulas Excavating is looking for some talented individuals for the remaining part of the 2021 Construction Season and beyond. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting dirt, aggregates, and/or equipment to job site locations. Trucks driven may include semi with trailer, tandem or quad/quint dump trucks.
Starting a new project often means removing the old. And when removing the old, nothing is more critical than a safe, controlled site. When it comes to demolition this is where we start. It begins with a thorough site assessment and safety is constantly reinforced with every aspect of the job. We understand and calculate for the dozens of variables and risk involved in each project.
At Dulas no job is too complex. We specialize in both residential and commercial site work. Be it a simple retaining wall or a complex construction design, our team, our technology and our tools allow us to deliver dependability, accuracy and efficiency from project start to finish. With decades of experience in site work and remediation, we understand that there is more to project execution than just planning.
Bank Midwest, owned by Goodenow Bancorp and serving Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa, was looking to expand in the Fairmont market. The Redmond Company hired Dulas to do the site work and underground utilities at the Fairmont branch site. Dulas' contract consisted of excavating and installation of water and sewer lines, as well as storm drainage.
The Dulas crew excavated for the foundations, completed a soil correction, and graded the building interior in preparation for concrete. Although this was a smaller project, it gave Dulas another opportunity to work with United Builders, along with Wells Concrete-who provided the precast on the project.

Probably do great work and have great employees but for the truck driver that almost ran my family and I off the road on highway 13 needs to start paying attention. The speed limit on that road is 55 not 60 or 65 or 75 like this trucker was driving. I saw him catching up rather quickly to the vehicle I was driving, once I noticed he wasn't slowing down one bit I moved over to shoulder so he could blow by me honking his horn like I was the one in the wrong. So maybe y'all need a new hiring method for your drivers. But if nothing is done one of them will hurt someone.
