Al and Sylvia Zielinski decide to start Adirondack Septic Tank as a weekend endeavor in order to supplement their income. Adirondack Septic Tank quickly grew beyond Al and Sylvia's home and a garage was purchased to serve as a base of operation. Once again Adirondack Septic Tank outgrew its home and a new site was found on the rapidly developing Route 30 corridor in Amsterdam.
The septic tank serves as a settling basin where solids accumulate and gradually get broken down by bacterial action. Some of the solid waste is actually liquefied by this 'natural bacterial decomposition, however the rest of the waste accumulates in the bottom as a layer of sludge. Additionally, a small percentage of this, waste (mostly fats and oils) float to the top of the tank to form a layer of semi-solid scum.

Had another plumber that wasn’t able to unclog my main drain of my house. He directed me to Adirondack Septic. It took a little while before they were able to get someone to me, but once they were able to get people to me, their workers were extremely professional, and knowledgeable. It was not an easy fix, but they worked until it was fixed and I found the rate to be reasonable. Overall a great experience. If I need to be serviced in the future I know who I will be calling. Quality and reliable service

I've been in the property management business for 29 years and the most we have ever been charged for drain clearing was $400 for an after hours call. Adirondack Septic charged us $561 to clear a drain during regular business hours. OUTRAGOUS!! We won't call again.
