We do offer the option to pour over existing concrete. As long as there is the ability to have enough fall away from your home and room at the threshold to get proper thickness. As with most materials, there is a slip hazard when concrete is wet. Some decorative finishes, however, actually improve traction.
They did a great job on all of our concrete jobs so far, we have a few future jobs with them to get done. Very happy with the work they completed. We had six different jobs from stairs to sidewalks to driveway extensions and they worked diligently to get each one done. The crew was very professional at all times.

They removed and repoured my pool deck, Jack hammer broke my waterfall pipe, I had to repair it myself, Jack hammer also moved the coping stones and knocked of a bunch of tiles that I also was told I'd have to repair myself, they didn't do the pool seal and didn't reimburse me for any of that.
We also had additional peers put in to prevent subsidence, we were told it wouldn't move or crack and we have a two year warranty on the deck.
Less than two months later and it cracked and moved, causing my child pool fence gate to not close, I've asked them to come and repair it under warranty and not

Came across Prater Concrete via Nextdoor App. This lady Amber Prater came to our home and took measurements. She yapped a lot and boasted that they have been in the business for 19 years. Said will send the estimates but never did. Why waste our time if you are not Interested. Stay away from such unprofessional business.

Please learn from my experience - you get what you pay for! Unfortunately, I was one of the unlucky clients of this business. Chose them since their bid was significantly lower than a competitor. Had my patio repaved and extended and had stamped concrete done in November of 2020 and, within a few months, the stain is completely gone in numerous areas and there are multiple cracks. After 6 emails to Amber, I was given less than 24 hours notice to move all my patio furniture and large/heavy pots so the worker could come do "touch-ups" (whenever they had time to swing by). We hired them after getting patio extension quotes from 7 local outfits. The work was scheduled and completed in a timely matter but it has gradually faded in only 2 months. We have tried to communicate with Ron Prater via numerous emails but he has not responded. Prayer has a reputation for being a "one and done" business. BUYER BEWARE!

Be warned, do not do business with this company! I was referred to Prater Concrete from a few coworkers who had used them and had a decent job done. Well I can promise you mine was more in line with the reviews you see on here. I had a 16'x24' patio poured with what was supposed to be stamped concrete. The slope they put on it is horrible, might as well shingle it and call it a roof. Young kids did all the prep and one of the Prater brothers showed up only when it was time to pour. They waited way to long to stamp and it looks terrible. The stain job was even worse and bubbles up so now

I hired Prater to replace 600 s/f of driveway and pour a pad for a 10x16 storage building. They screwed them both up. Pathetic, substandard concrete work. The pad was neither square, true, correct size or level. The Tuff Shed folks had a hard time making it work. Ryan Prater would not return a call or text. The driveway has deep grooves down the center. The imprint of whatever machine they were using before it was dry. I regret hiring these folks.

We highly recommend Prater Concrete. They did a great job on our 18x13 patio extension and walkway around the back of our house. They did exactly what we wanted and are very skilled at their craft. We didn't have to worry about a hot concrete load because they have their own concrete truck that mixes the concrete on site! Will hire again for more work in the future.

We had hired the company for extending our patio in our backyard. They were very prompt until they completed the work. Upon completion, when we looked at it, it was not symmetric and they had made one edge longer than the other spoiling the look. Despite that we paid them fully thinking they would be professional enough to come and fix it. However after more than 3 months and innumerable calls and texts, they have not come down to even look at how bad their finish is and offer any support.
We are thoroughly disappointed and I would certainly not recommend hiring these guys to anyone I know. Pathetic

About 2 months ago we spent about $2500 installing a sidewalk / retaining wall on the side of our house.
The crew took the check, then didn't come back to finish the work, so we had to place a hold on the check to get Prater to send a crew back out to finish the work. Ryan Prater rudely told me they were done and hung up on me when I told him I wasn't paying him until he finished.
Well they did fix the last of the work, but then less than a month later a hairline fracture formed and it kept getting bigger and bigger. So I sent an email and left multiple

Ryan and crew did a great job on the initial flatwork but left the finish work to others which quickly showed streaks / drip lines and was blotchy. He stopped replying when I requested that he inspect the finished product to see the issues I was seeing. Just about a year in and looks like it should be re-finished not to mention the cracks that have appeared.

Horrible customer service and horrible job! We had them come out late May to powerwash and re-stain our backyard patio concrete. We spent close to $2k and it did look good when they left but after a month it faded again and it showed streaks and it was blotchy. We have tried calling and emailing them 4 times to get them to honor their 1 year warranty and redo the job but no response back. Learn from our mistake and please do not use this company!

Prater Concrete did a stamped patio for me in 2013 and I thoroughly enjoyed it for 4 years with no issues . I have moved and based on my past experience with them, I never thought to call anyone else. They now just finished a large patio extension at my new home that turned out beautiful. Their attention to detail was impressive. The quality was as expected. They cleaned up thoroughly and completed the job timely. Their staff and workers were all very pleasant. Cant wait to start landscaping around it.
