Nothing can help freshen up an older home or help in the sale of a property or inspire your kitchen workspace like a new or remodeled kitchen. Kitchen design is becoming increasingly more important as space is rapidly growing smaller. Designing or remodeling your kitchen can be an incredibly exciting adventure but with it can come a lot of stress, and complication!
Cabinet refinishing means that you keep all components of your existing cabinetry and simply change the color or the finish which is often completed via hand sanding or chemically stripping the existing finish from the wood, then applying new paint or stain. If budget is your main consideration, refinishing is often the cheaper option.

I wanted to thank your crew for a great job on renovating our kitchen, wet bar, and 3 bathrooms. We're very happy with the result... and even happier with the professionalism and service. Sean communicated with us well throughout the project so we always knew what was happening when, and so there were no surprises. And he kept everything on schedule - a rare experience with contractors in the valley! When there were issues or questions we discussed them with Sean and resolved them quickly. We recently had our kitchen renovated, and had new quartz counters installed in our bathrooms. From the planning stages to the finished job, we were extremely pleased with Son Cabinetry's work. Tom provided us with our quote in a timely fashion. The staff were hardworking and did an outstanding job on our project. Matt came for a followup visit to ensure we were completely happy. The lack of communication and customer service from Matt the owner and most of his subs was appalling. I never would have hired them except Tom the salesperson was good. Matt and crew would show up without an appointment or late if they did have one and then had acted as if they were doing me a favor. He said he was coming over to "finish the job" but didnt have the rest of the drawers with him and demanded final payment before the work was finished. Save yourself a lot of pain and money and do not hire Son Cabinetry!

Tom did a wonderful job of helping sift through our ideas and give us concrete possibilities--and a good price we could afford. Matt and his crews were very careful to keep things picked up and cleaned up. Additionally, and this was the big part, since we had renters coming in, they were on time!!! Thank you, Son Cabinetry!

We just redid our kitchen and bathrooms (3) with Son Cabinetry. They were very professional and very easy to work with. Suzzette, Rosario and Matt helped redesign my kitchen with new cabinets and counters and refaced my bathroom cabinets and installed new counters. The kitchen is beautiful, the cabinets are very well made and finished and the bathroom cabinets look brand new. They did a wonderful job, we are very pleased with how everything turned out. I would highly recommend Son Cabinetry to all of my friends!

We moved to Palm Desert in June 2010 and the house we purchased needed a major remodel. We talked to many different contractors and the bids we received were all over the place. We had an excellent experience with Son Cabinetry & Design. Our designer, Morraika Simonds of An Interior Motive Designs, and Rosario, Son's designer, worked together to create a functional and beautiful space. Rosario really listened to our needs when it came to storage space, work spaces, and access to the sink and cooktop. The resulting design works well for one cook or two. The cabinets, in the Zebrano finish, give the kitchen a sleek contemporary look and add a textural dimension to the room. Son handled the cabinet installation and finish work (trim, handles, etc.) and did an excellent job

I am happy with the results of our kitchen; I was NOT happy with the remodel process. The contractor that is used by Son Cabinetry is 1st Atrium and you are presented with 2 separate contracts when finalizing your kitchen design with Son. Be very clear about what is the responsibility of Son Cabinetry and what 1st Atrium's. We were constantly going back and forth between the managers of these companies verifying who was responsible for the errors during our remodel.
