I interviewed 5 landscape services for new landscaping in my backyard, from the single proprietor guys to the big, well known services. I chose Elbers and it was absolutely the best decision I could have made. Brendon, the consultant worked with me to make sure the overall plan was exactly to my liking. He was immediately responsive to my emails with questions about the job and kept me up to date about when I would be fit into the schedule. The great, professional, friendly, kind and hardworking group of guys, led by Danny, did the most excellent job on the installation with fantastic attitudes

I was in North Buffalo and in need of some organic potting soil. I looked on Yelp to see what was nearby and this place was on the list. I haven't lived in this part of town for 20 years and forgot about it.
They have the statement posted that they are closed due to covid, but they are most definitely open. They had exactly what I wanted and the young man working outside hauled the 20 pound bag to my car. Very nice!

I went to eblers to buy weed killer for my garden. I told the associate I was going to spray a garden which had a hydrangea in it, as well as shrubs, so I needed either something that wouldn’t kill the plant or for them to just tell me to pull the weeds out without spraying. They directed me to a weed killer they said would be fine. I sprayed the weeds and tried to ensure I was staying enough away from hydrangea / shrubs but some mist must have been caught in air. My hydrangea died within a week and parts of shrubs that got misted are browning. Infuriating since I repeatedly said if the spray

This review is for the gardening center, not landscaping or plowing.
This is my go to gardening store. Partially because it's in my neighborhood and easy to get to, but mostly because of the great selection and customer service. Plus, I get to support a local small business!
Their selection of annuals and perennials is very large. They also have mulch and soil (and bulk topsoil if you have a truck to come get it...). Everything is reasonably priced, which is always a plus.

I called and spoke with "Judy" who was extremely kind and helpful to inquire about their live trees. When my Husband and I arrived with our 3yr old daughter, we were welcomed with smiles and recieved the best advice from "Ryan". I also asked him to do me a favor and cut a disk from our tree stump so we could save it as a keepsake ornament...he obliged and with enthusiam!
This was our first live tree and couldn't be happier with it. We purchased a gorgeous Douglas Fir 🎄. We're so pleased with our visit that we'll make going to Elber's to choose our Tree a family tradition! Thank you for an exceptional

Elbers is a Buffalo Institution for Lawn Care. They have been around for decades. Located at Main and Hertle you can go there for supplies, or Christmas Trees in the winter, and talk to knowledgeable people about your needs and goals.
They also do home lawn care. They do a good job. The reason its three and not four stars is because we had major lawn work done this year, first time ever. So did some of our neighbors. They used a different service (3 houses used the same competitor). That competitor has stopped by EVERY DAY SINCE to check that the people are taking care of the new lawn

I got the groupon for elber's and was excited to go pick out some plants. This location is small for a nursery but it's well packed for its size. Good selection of landscaping plants, bushes, trees and decorative flowers. I got 2 gallon blueberry already heavy with berries for 25$. Small curated selection of veggies. It seems prices are higher than the big box stores but their product seem to be relatively local - hummus and manure from within new york state, 4$ for 40 lbs. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Unfortunately my heirloom seedlings that I had started indoors weren't doing well between a couple of Godzilla attacks....or small dog tramplings going after an errant tennis ball bounced nearby. SO...I had to resort to picking up some seedlings elsewhere.
Its a smorgasbord of services here. You can get landscaping services, pick up some seedlings, plantings, supplies, or trees here. The location is easy to find and there is a huge variety of flowering plants here. I don't get my veggie plants from big box stores so I can't compare their pricing but it was $18 for a flat of eight
