The Grounds Guys recently took on the job of repairing my wind damaged fence. I met with Andy (the owner) and we discussed what needed to be done. I received a written estimate which properly contained all of the details we discussed. From the moment the crew arrived, they… deviated from the agreed to work. Worst customer service we have ever had. We hired Grounds Guys in Collingwood to do landscaping in our back yard, June 2020. New grass (sod) some stone work, supposed to have regraded parts of the yard that were always wet. They charged us for 2 inches of top soil, which they did not put down. When we questioned why, the lead on the job said it… wasn’t necessary and that the sod would take just fine without it. After they completed the job, we were happy with it. The stone work looked nice, and sod was ok. So we paid for the work, despite they charged us for the top soil, which I did

My personal experience with The Grounds Guys was an utter disaster.
I signed a contract worth thousands of dollars with the Residential Property Manager for landscaping an additional lawn services throughout the year.
Landscaping:
5 out of 8 Iris plants died immediately.
6 Blue Pointer Trees started turning brown on the bottoms immediately. I was informed it was bug infestation but nothing was ever done about it.
One of the crew members decided to move one of the Blue Pointer Trees in the backyard to where he thought it looked best and cut right through the internet line. He is extremely lucking

I have used the GroundsGuys for years for landscaping and other work around my home and I will probably never use a different company. In my experience, their crews have been amazing, on time, with good communication and excellent work every time.
I had a drain system installed during Harvey that absolutely saved my house from getting flooded.
Recently I had an irrigation system installed with a wifi controller and it is awesome! The tech was very knowledgeable and patient in setting everything up and explaining it to me. You guys have made my life so much easier! Thank you!

I don't know what it takes to get proper service from these guys - too much to cite here. But not only do they not answer their phones, they do not return calls. The work is shoddy but we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and stay with them, because, like other reviewers, Nathan is a delight to "talk to." But it's all talk, no productive… service whatsoever. They have high prices and I've paid for all regular service and additional service timely. I asked for quotes for other landscaping projects they said they did and once I finally got the quote MONTHS LATER, identified the work

The guys showed up on time in uniform and were very polite. They took care of my issues with my irrigation system quickly and professionally. After they completed the job, they had me come inspect everything and then ran through the whole cycle while I watched. I asked them to make a few additional adjustments and they complied in a timely manner.
Overall I would rate them a 10 on quality and cost.

The Grounds Guys of League City do an awesome job every time and provide excellent customer service! My sprinkler valve burst from the big freeze and was spraying water everywhere. They got someone out right away to find the underground valve that had gotten grown over with grass. They got the repair job done very quickly, did a thorough inspection of the whole system, and did it all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them and am a very satisfied customer. The ladies who handle the incoming calls are terrific as well!

Where to begin!? The end: literally just stopped showing up in violation of our contract. No call. No email. No show. Breach of contract runs both ways, but a hell of a way to run a business, eh?! The Brentwood TN location is absolutely horrible. DO NOT USE!! They ruined my front garden and their customer service (the "owner") of that branch is NOT willing to help out in and way. He simply points out the fine print of their little contracts as no work is guaranteed apparently.
These are not handshake deal kind of people though they sure approach you as such.
