Services
With 1 fabrication shop, and 1 slab showroom, United Granite has become one of the area's largest countertop fabricators. We have imported over 5000 slabs in 400 colors, which allows United Granite to produce the highest quality countertops, and the most natural stone color selections. Our quartz line includes, Silestone, Cambria, Ceasarstone, Zodiaq, and MSI Q Quartz.
Granite is a unique and special stone that has earned a lot of respect in our homes throughout the past few decades. Not only is it strong and durable, but it creates a sense of richness and luxury that other materials lack. Fortunately, it is also a very diverse stone that can be molded into a wide variety of designs to fit any home and any personality.
When you begin researching for your future kitchen remodel or upgrade, you quickly begin to realize that not all kitchen countertops are created equally. There are several different types of materials you can choose from, each of which will add a certain persona to your kitchen. Take marble countertops for example.
Quartzite countertops are a perfect way to add a little uniqueness to your home. Quartzite is a hard, metamorphic rock that used to be pure quartz sandstone. However, after massive amounts of heat and pressure, the pure quartz sandstone turned into quartzite. Quartzite is so strong that one of its most common uses is to be crushed and used as railway ballast.
Though simple, soapstone still consists of many rich and calm colors. Slab samples will range in color from a gentle gray to blue-gray to a deep black. Most soapstone countertops will be a nearly solid color while a few will have uniquely colored veins. Soapstone kitchen countertops are some of the most durable slabs we install.

We worked with Chris at the Crofton location, which is moving to Bowie. We also visited with him in Elkridge, where they have their main stock. Chris is very knowledgeable and pointed us in the right direction, explained all the options. They offer a discount if you use a check, which we did.
The measurements they took in advance of cutting the stone were spot on. We did have a problem at install, when we discovered a crack near the sink. Someone repaired it, perhaps the installer. So I was upset. I called Chris and he was very reassuring, saying, "We will make this right." He did.

Stopped by the Crofton location today just to get a feel for what natural stone looks like in 3-D. On-line pictures did not give a real sense of the true beauty of the stone. Nur was awesome. She was very informative and patient. First impressions are very important. I am only in the beginning stages of my kitchen remodeling, but Nur will hear from me soon.
