It started off being extremely hectic with closing on Wednesday and new owners needing us to be moved out by Monday! After calling here and there. Ashley answered my call and the rest was a miracle. Jake and his team came to the rescue and moved us out on Saturday! Extremely professional, friendly, fast and you should see how they packed the truck to ensure expedited delivery.

I was quoted $1500. Job came to $3500. An entire bin of heirloom Christmas ornaments was dropped and 2/3 broken. Snagged rug, had an entire box of China/crystal smashed to pieces. A cord was ripped out of a brand new $4000 massage chair. When Jake himself came to assess damage I was told he would make it right. Chair chord was fixed and that was… it. When I called about the rest of the damage I was told there would be no restitution because I didn’t haul the 2 boxes of broken glass to their place to be ‘weighed’ even though Jake never told me to do that while he was looking

If you like to be ghosted and treated like trash from your "employer" then work for Jake's moving and storage. Unprofessional and unreachable. Have fun ever getting a hold of them via email, phone call, or text. They owed me a good chunk of money and it took more than a month to track them down as they conveniently moved offices.

I would recommend moving with Jakes Moving and Storage if you ever need help with moving! They care about the needs of their customers. The staff are friendly and professional! They will protect your stuff like their own and will make sure everything is safe during the moving process. Love this company!

I booked first viewed reviews later. By that time I was committed due to a short time line for moving. Having expected the worse I was pleasantly surprised about my experience. The movers strategized among themselves and worked as a team. They worked quickly and efficiently and were very respectful. The cost was below the estimate which rarely happens. The only criticism I have is that when I called a week before to confirm it took four days and a second call to respond. Also, only 2 forms of payment- check or cash. Would not take much to update and use technology to allow cards.

I was not happy to pay for time and fuel from their shop. 32 minute drive to move 1.9 miles, only 6 pieces of furniture was $734. Fees for a 'long walk' and 'large piece' were not specifically mentioned at the time of the estimate. Isn't that what this time was for? Coupon sent but no discount given.

Positives were the owners and movers were polite. The job got done. The owners also kindly held my check before cashing it because I was not expecting to pay what they ended up charging. I even had it set to move waaay more stuff!

I wish I could give Jake a good review. He seems like a nice guy. But he made our move miserable. We've moved four times with professional movers - twice with big national companies and twice with locals, so we know what to expect. Jake did not deliver.
Everything was great except one BIG error: Jake WAY UNDERESTIMATED the job. I took him on a tour of every room in our house, including the basement, garage, and outdoor areas so he could see everything we had in our home and in storage areas.
