Moisture problems can become a serious issue, especially when in crawl spaces within the home. The crawl space is where your home can develop major moisture problems that can lead to air quality issues, insect damage, wood rot, swelling of doors and windows inside the home, and even health-threatening mold and mildew.

Many homeowners are finding that insulating the crawl space and encapsulating it is a great way to keep the moisture outside where it belongs! Crawlspace Depot offers several solutions to reduce the harmful moisture under your home.

This Green Building Advisor article confirms that sealed crawl spaces have less mold and stay dryer than vented crawl spaces - and they often save energy.

If your home feels like you're in the middle of a jungle due to the humidity, then investing in a dehumidifier is a good choice for you. Underneath many homes, between the ground and the first floor of the home, there is a hollow and narrow space called a crawlspace. Dehumidifiers are an important appliance for maintaining dry, cozy air around the home and other confined indoor settings.
A very strong polyethylene adhesive tape, used primarily to bond the seams of polyethylene liner. Can also be used to cover and seal staples. This product is made of a super tacky butyl rubber that sticks well to most masonry surfaces and also polyethylene. Being a two sided tape, this will allow you to mount objects on vertical surfaces and will also create a seal.

I purchased the 10 mil liner some time ago and just got around to installing it. It has been stored still wrapped like it was when shipped. When I took the shipping wrapper off, the liner was brittle and broke apart in my hands. I contacted Crawlspace Depot through their web site last week but haven't heard back yet about a refund. For full disclosure I ordered the liner almost 3 years ago and didn't get to that part of the project until now, so I have no idea they'll give me a refund after this time even tho I never opened the roll until now and the product is defective. If it got brittle in 3

I was able to learn how to complete an Encapsulation on my home from the DIY videos. I used this training to order the materials needed. The materials were of high quality and very easy to install, the work area wasn’t too tight. I had to change some products I ordered without any problems and was able to return unused material. Samantha was extremely helpful and supportive directing me in my project, which when completed looks great! I will recommend anyone that would want to do this to use Crawl Space Depot. If I can do it, you can too!

Crawlspace Depot delivered all my materials promptly, and the materials themselves were first class. I purchased their 12 mil poly for walls and their 20 mil poly for the floors. I used butyl tape and christmas tree fasteners for securing the walls. Brightened it up with three sets of 5-light LEDs. Installed their sump package that includes the Zoeller M53 pump and purchased a Dranjer Model F-S2 Sump Drain from another source. Had an Electrician install a circuit for it. Decided to forgo the dehumidifier and am conditioning the space with a small vent my HVAC guy installed. So far, the humidity

Starting with the obligatory - "I never write reviews" - I just had to post this review straight away! I recently purchased a MegaDry dehumidifier from Crawlspace Depot and upon installation it wasn't working at all - the fan wouldn't run. On internal inspection, I found that the fan assembly was completely damaged and pushed into the cooling/coil assembly. I called the folks at Crawlspace Depot - and just couldn't ask for a better experience!! I spoke with Samantha, who was wonderful, and passed my issue up to the manager. Andrew promptly called me back and immediately assured me that they would

YOU can do this! The nice women in the office helped me narrow down what I needed (I had a good idea after watching all of their videos). I was quoted over $6,100.00 by one of the local crawl space repair companies and I did MORE than what they were offering and I did it BETTER than they would have done it, plus with better plastic... all for under $1,700.00 by dong it myself. I'm 55 yrs old, I have very basic skills and I did it all - including sliding the 65lb dehumidifier under there and running PVC pipe to a drain. VERY simple, just a tough environment to work in. Take your time, take some

Been doing business with theses folks for 4 years now and they are great to work with. Heather always takes excellent care of us.
Also when they brought the Monster Dry on their market , we started using these dehumidifiers and have had very reliable service.
We did have one go out on us this week that was 5 months on the job. Called manufacture , they said they would ship another one to me and send a return label. That's service.
