Q: How often should my chimney be cleaned? A: Even if you rarely use your fireplace it can suffer damage from wildlife and the elements and an annual inspection is vital to its safe operation. The National Fire Protection Association recommends that chimneys, fireplaces and vents be inspected once per year.

Had our chimney cleaned by them today. They were super nice and professional. They kept the area clean as they worked and did a fantastic job. They pulled all the fake logs out and reassembled them nicely and made sure the gas setup still worked after they were done and even went over how to use it with them. I’m highly satisfied with their work.

Smitty took the time to show me all the variables and the materials needed to make a good and safe installation on a new wood stove. This convinced us to go ahead and make the purchase. We got a good deal on a closeout model, as well.

Had been doing business with them for many years. Asked for an estimate to replace chimney chase cover and crown and was NOT told at the time of scheduling the appointment, that they charge 100.- to drive out and give you the estimate! $50.- would be credited when they come out to do the work.
Their reasoning was - they have to drive outside of SGF. On top of that, I had to call multiple times and finally after about 3 weeks I received my absolutely ridiculous estimate of $1002.- to replace the chase cover and the crown.
This company is an absolute rip off and I would NEVER recommend them or

Great customer service. I went in to buy a pellet stove and instead of trying to sell me something fancy, I was given a demo on a good stove that is easy to take care of and a work horse to heat my shop. Highly recommend you at least take a look here before buying elsewhere.

This company is great. They are family owned and they will do anything to help you out and they have the best steel liners in the business. They even helped me repair my glass gasket on my unit. I walked in and they dropped everything they were doing to help me. They also pull out your stove before cleaning your chimney unlike others and I would know. I’m a Real estate guy and I’ve always referred this company because they do things right and when it comes to fire that’s definitely what you want. We were selling our house and needed our chimney repaired. We got an estimate from smitty's who gave us a quote of over $2,400! We got a second opinion from a different company, and they were able to make the same repairs for $150!!!! He said he regularly sees Smitty's over charging people. Always get a second opinion when these guys quote you.

I needed a wood-burning stove for my new home. I know nothing about that and other than they burn wood. They helped me talk to me explained a lot of things that I do not know and then they gave me a great great price on a good used wood pellet burning stove. I highly recommend these people. You know sometimes when you talk to people you can just tell if they're honest or if they're trying to yank your chain. These folks are honest friendly and upright and explain everything to you and help you as much as I possibly can. So my question is what more would you want out of a company trying to do good

Back in August 2016 my husband and I purchased a stove from Smitty's ( Not a new one due to finances) and they installed it. Now that it is December I can honestly say that I would not have any other person come out and install anything. Trust me when I say they are probably not the cheapest but you definitely get the quality and customer service that anyone could ask for.
