Joshua Snyder originally hails from Wilmington, North Carolina and brings with him over 15 years of trade knowledge and hands-on experience to J&J Painting LLP. As the son of a general contractor, Josh served under his father's tutelage for many years and quickly discovered his passion for painting.

Often times when starting an exterior painting project, especially here in New England, we find rotten boards that need to be replaced. In March a good friend of mine called me up and said that he found a good painter for me for the right price. He also recommended that I would do it right away. I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter

I had J & J Painting LLP paint the entire interior of my house and it came out great. The guys were clean, quick, and efficient. My old house had a lot of plaster cracks and prep work needed and they took care to make sure it was all done right. They were detail oriented and easy to work with. They added some chair rail moldings in my dining room and painted my old natural wood cabinets white in my kitchen. They were very professional and I plan to have them back to paint my exterior next.

J and J Painting painted the entire exterior of our early 1900s house that was in pretty tough shape prior to their arrival. J and J did an amazing job- the house looks beautiful now. They were overall just extremely easy to work with, very reliable, conscientious, timely and skilled. They really exceeded expectations and did all the little extra things that really make you feel great about a project. Even our neighbors came over to comment on what a wonderful job J and J did with the house. We definitely hope to work with them again and recommend them to anyone in need of skilled painters

J&J has been my go to for all interior painting over the last 4 years. They've now painted my entire home, including the ceilings. J&J just completed painting the exterior of our house, and the results were excellent, or should I say, amazing.
They showed up the day promised and immediately impressed us with their professionalism, courtesy and quality of the work.
Much of the first 2 days was for the prep work, including scraping, sanding and priming. They took care each day to minimize/eliminate paint chips and I did not see any paint where it was not supposed to be.
Then the trim and main paint colors went on during day 2 and 3 and basically completed by the 4th day along with painting the doors and any touch up

This was a great experience. They came out in fall to give an estimate and put us on the schedule for early spring. They communicated well throughout, and everything went according to plan. I was particularly happy with the woodwork repair they did for us. We had a lot of rotted trim. They did a great job running down the options for repair and giving us the schedule and costs ahead of time, and clearly communicated anything they wouldn't know for sure ahead of time. Our neighbors have been stopping by to tell us how great it looks.

Called J&J painting on a Thursday for a weekend estimate appointment. Josh showed up right on time and gave a thorough review of what he thinks needs to be done. We had been burning lots of candles and that caused severe soot on the ceiling and walls. Within hours after the in person meeting, we got a very professional estimate in PDF format. The price is very reasonable and we liked Josh so much that we actually cancelled the other 2 estimates we had scheduled for. Josh confirmed his team can start the job next Friday and come Friday his whole team showed up on time and are all professional

We interviewed 6 other painters and are so happy we went with J&J Painting. We had a quick turn around project, interior painting plus some tricky carpentry in the basement. Josh, Jason and team did everything efficiently, meticulously, and delivered on time with a smile. Josh did mostly interior and some exterior painting on an old house. The work was tricky because it not only involved painting but addressing some bad plaster issues on the ceilings. On the exterior there was some nasty old alligatored paint on the porch that needed to be painted over and some window touchups.
I was pleased to see that they were concerned about lead as we were. He had a HEPA vac and used drop clothes from getting any dust anywhere.
We went away for a week and they worked hard throughout the whole time we were away. The ceilings were pretty hard to fix and he did a good job

I was very pleased with the work that Josh and his team did painting the interior of our house. Although we were away for a week, Josh not only remained in constant communication with us but he also suggested a better quality product for the painting for the trims. I really appreciated his expertise and that he pointed us in the right direction. I also can't fail to mention the impeccable cleanup job the team did. You wouldn't have known a crew had been onsite. I'm hoping to get Josh to come back and paint the exterior of the house. I highly recommend J&J Painting.
