Grassroots Solar is pleased to be partnering with the Vermont State Employees Credit Union (VSECU) to offer special No Money Down financing for your solar installation. It is easy to apply online and they make decisions in 24 hours or less. Several financing options are available, including the VGreen ITC loan that will cover the money needed (interest free too!) while waiting for the 26% tax credit to come back to you in form of tax savings.
Get a 26% Federal Income Tax Credit only through the end of 2020, to help pay for your system. Receive a bonus of 2 cents for every kWh you produce under the net metering law in VT (as noted below and on our net metering page). NET METERING: All residential arrays can also take advantage of net metering laws in Vermont.

These folks at Grassroots were attentive, prompt, responsive and pleasant to work with. They provided multiple options and scenarios, and allowed us to choose what best fit our needs and budget. They weren't pushy or dismissive. They answered all questions thoroughly, provided explanations, and got us up and running in a short amount of time. The installation crew was friendly and professional, and reviewed everything with me before any work began. They proposed various placement options before jumping to anything. Bill and his Company were very helpful when I was thinking about putting up panels, They were very easy to work with and got the job done in record time. Their costs were within my price range. Any questions I have had since have been answered ASAP. When I thought about putting in batteries they were able to tell me how many batteries I would need and the cost also

Disastrous installation of a system that doesn't work and terrible customer support.
This is the 4th solar PV system I've had installed in my life and I have never had as bad an experience. From the installation through support, it has been a nightmare.
My system has been performing at 1/3 capacity for over 5 months (I've lost hundreds of kWh of production) and Grass Roots has done virtually nothing to address it. They go out, they report everything is fine and then I look in my online dashboard and hop on the phone with SunPower to confirm it is still not working. They come up with every excuse
