Tapping Jim's horticultural expertise, this award-winning Brookline residence was transformed into a plant lover's paradise. And while the striking English style garden is prominent, the driving force of the design is the series of outdoor spaces that unify the property and complement the homeowner's lifestyle.
When we first visited this home in Wellesley Hills it buried in an intimidating tangle of overgrown trees and undergrowth. Our first focus was a thorough clearing of the property to better assess the potential. We then added a formal chip seal courtyard and elegant plantings to best highlight the striking faade.
Set along the Duxbury Bay, this pool renovation project focused on maximizing the breathtaking views of the ocean harbor. The result is a gorgeous retreat, ideal for a Friday night with the family, or entertaining on a larger scale. My wife and I engaged a Blade of Grass after meeting with multiple landscape designers. I have been a customer of A Blade of Grass for the past 14years and I have never been disappointed in any work they have done for me. I live in a Brownstone in the city and have 3 small garden areas. Each year I do a Winter planting and a Summer planting, and each garden is difference. A Blade of Grass has a great team and is very knowledgeable about flowers, plants and how to best stage my gardens. I am very particular about what I like and my Blade of Grass team leader is fantastic! She listens to me and never fails in bringing my beloved gardens to life. It is extremely rare to have the most creative designers and architects as well as best artisans and constructors together as one entity - yet that is exactly what a Blade of Grass is. From my first interactions with BoG to close to 10 yrs later with numerous collaborations together every experience has been rewarding and extremely positive.
