While the basic chimney services for your home; cleaning, inspections and repairs, have remained the same over the years, the way we do these things have changed with increased technology and education. Many people still believe the picture of a chimney sweep covered in soot is the expectation today but things are drastically different.
Sweeping your chimney is a vital service to ensure the health and safety of your family and home. All chimneys, including the chimney for your furnace, should be inspected annually by a Certified Chimney Technician. Chimney cleaning is essential to remove creosote deposits and other debris from the chimney system.
Remember - annual chimney inspections can prevent fires and CO poisonings. Did you know that storks nesting in chimneys were once believed to bring good luck, according to European folklore? The fact is bird nests in chimneys - or blockages of any kind in your fireplace - are nothing short of bad news.
Many houses have problems with their chimneys that turn out to be water leakage. Evidence for this problem includes water running down the flue, water running down the brickwork in the attic or inside the house, or the exposed chimney gets damp and deposits of white lime form on the outside of the brick.

Matt G. was here this afternoon and did an amazing job! He did a very thorough inspection of our gas log set and explained exactly how to use it all after he put everything back together. He also fixed the damper that was off track. He had great recommendations for a few things we could fix and was very thorough. Definitely recommend!

I have used Owens Chimney for two different services now. On both occasions their techs have been both efficient and extremely polite. I would highly recommend asking for Forrest Rorie. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough.

Taylor from Owens Chimney came out today for our chimney inspection. He was very punctual and patient as I asked my many questions about our 1977 fireplace. He educated me on different options that would help us safely enjoy our fireplace, and I felt completely at ease with his delivery of information. I’m thankful to have had his knowledge and expertise as we discussed each option, and will always request him if service is ever needed in the future.

Our fireplace would not turn on after 20 years of running it. I called Owens, and to my surprise, it was going to take 3 months to get an appointment!
It was worth the wait! Forrest was sent to us! I thought I was going to have to get a new fireplace. Forrest opened it up, took it apart, cleaned it all, told me the thermocoupler had built up carbon. He had it fixed in an hour. He was so kind. He also explained that one of fire is yellow it's not running right. He showed us the difference in pictures. Now my flame is blue and beautiful like it should be. He went outside and inspected everything

Today, for a cleaning at my home, Hunter was sent and we could not be more impressed. He is extremely personable, had the utmost respect for our home and was very through. He kept us informed at each step of the process and the cleanup was meticulous. When the inspection was complete, he gave us a detailed review, made some recommendations and answered all our questions.
We will definitely request that he preforms all our future work.

Owen's Chimney is truly the best service out there. They are extremely professional and deliver high quality work and service. I had two separate visits with them, one to inspect and clean, and another for repairs and waterproofing.
Hunter Deese is the best! He was very thorough and explained the process and results to me each step of the way. After the inspection, he advised me as to the next steps, communicated with the office, and got all the products and services I needed handled, including my next appointment.
