I had an appointment to have my pool closed that I scheduled about a month in advance. The day they were supposed to come I called and verified they were coming. The man taking my call said I was last on their stop and would be there after 3pm. I had re arraigned my schedule so someone could be home. Well, they didn't show and they didn't call to let me know. The next day I called and the man answering the phone made it sound like it happens all the time I just needed to get over them not calling or showing up. Zero stars. Had my appointment with this company to drain and clean my pool for two months. Two days before my appointment they call and ask for photos of the pool, deciding if they “want to come do the job or not” since they are 40 pools behind. The owner arrives two days after my scheduled appointment, unannounced, showing up in my backyard and were rude to my partner about the entire process. Not professional and now have created a headache trying to get our pool ready for summer.

Only gave them one star because I couldn’t give them zero. Spoke to the owner he is very rude and the crew member I spoke to has no professionalism. I’d been calling to get a pool closed since November 2020 and they’ve been giving me the runaround, never called me back to come out and take a look at the pool. I decided to take my needs elsewhere and I am so happy I did. Avoid these pompous people.

I called American Pool Service to come out an give me a estimate on retiling , coping my very old inground pool Steve can out and his guys Remodeled the entire pool making it look fantastic. Steve is a great guy to work with he really delivered. He made my husband and I feel as if we had been knowing him for years. We look forward to doing business with him again, servicing and maintaining our pool .Thank You Steve for the great job and the personal touch you add to your service!!!

Steve is very rude, Tony is unprofessional. These guys came by opened the pool getting through the backyard without asking. Opened the pool left plug in the skimmer line and left a crack in the valve of the filter which was not there and quoted $425 to fix. The same day the tony says I put in a work order let me see when someone can get there. A week later & After few phones calls, they Claim there is no work order & rudely suggest to schedule it!
Waste of time & money . I will not use these amateurs again!

Called American on Tuesday afternoon after after being recommended by the company who has been closing my pool for 15+ years was unable to perform the job completely this year due to new equipment being installed (a completely new automated Hayward panel with deck jets) that they were unfamiliar with. They answered the phone politely, the prices were fair and they sounded very competent to complete the task. After a brief hold, they were able to schedule my pool closing for today (2 days later). They came out as promised with 4 guys, went above and beyond from anything I have had done before and

My experience with American pool..after 10's of thousands spent for resurface. 3 years have gone by with nothing but excuses and broken promises to resolve my pool surface issues. One of the owners Greg blames it on the type of product used. Very unprofessional and non existent customer service. Got my money, don't pay these guys untill your completely satisfied and contract complete.

We have been using American Pool for over 15 years. We have owned our home for 25 years and for the first 10 years we used 4 pool services until we switched to American. We have a very large complex salt pool and they keep it looking top notch. They have always been responsive to us and have kept us up to date with the latest technology. I have also enjoyed the staff very much over the years. I see some bad reviews here and maybe things did not work out for whatever reason. But my vote says they are the very best pool service company in the metropolitan area. And I am not related or neighbors with

I’ve had tile and coping stones replaced on my pool as well as a new safety cover...all done professionally, on-time and under or at budget. Steve (one of the owners) is great about getting back in touch as quickly as possible. He and his company have taken over closing my Pool annually and this year they opened the pool and thoroughly scrubbed the sides, bottom and vacuumed it 3 times to check it and insure that I didn’t need to have it acid washed or resurfaced (saved lots of money).
Highly recommend Steve and his crew to anyone.
