As the philanthropic arm of Kansas Masons, the Kansas Masonic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities and supporting fellow Masons and their families. Since our inception, the foundation has invested more than $50 million in Kansas communities and individuals.

Each year, the Kansas Masonic Foundation sponsors a raffle for a classic car. The 2021-2022 classic car is a Ford Thunderbird, which will be featured at the various Masonic lodges throughout the state. The Kansas Masonic Foundation strives to meet our Masonic Obligation to help fellow Masons.

Services
The Kansas Masonic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established for the purpose of expanding Masonic philanthropy in the fields of charitable, educational and scientific programs. While other community-based clubs promote events to raise money for charity, the Masons primarily donate funds directly from their members without any outside solicitation to the public.
The Kansas Masonic Essay Contest has been in existence for 60 years and has awarded more than $300,000 statewide to deserving high school students. Each year, the Masonic Public School Essay Contest donates $12,000 to deserving high school students for their 300-500 word essays. We would like to encourage all high schools across the state to participate and have their juniors and seniors complete a 300-500 word essay.
The Kansas Masonic Literacy Center at Emporia State University (ESU) is providing unprecedented literacy development that gives richer meaning and greater potential to the futures of more than 50,000 children throughout Kansas. The Kansas Masonic Literacy Center is housed on the ESU campus and aims to transform the lives of more than 50,000 children throughout Kansas in the next 10 years.
In 2013, the Kansas Masonic Foundation Board of Trustees voted to award almost $250,000 annually to college students and residents. Going forward, the Kansas Masonic Foundation will offer scholarships in the following three categories. Winners will be notified in mid-April. Have an acceptance letter from the university/college or a copy of a current college transcript.
