I hired CARTER moving to load the upack trailer with my recent move from Virginia. I had a lot of antiques and vintage items especially glassware that was poorly placed in the trailer. I was very disappointed and unhappy when my trailer arrived and I discovered I had a lot of damage. Heavy items were placed on top of lightweight bins and boxes as well as lightweight antique furniture. Bottom line, I would not recommend hiring this company if you are moving across the country.

These (strong) guys showed up with only a days notice. They were very careful in moving several heavy/bulky pieces of furniture from our basement up to our second floor. Polite. Dependable. Got the job done with care. I will call them again.

I used Bellhops to move from Richmond and as they do have a Salem/Roanoke market I had to hire a crew to do the unloading. Bellhops recommended Carter Moving and it was a spot on recommendation. Kevin and his teammate showed up right on time, got everything in, and even reassembled my bed all in 2 hours. The had the right equipment, a great attitude, and knew what they were doing. And the price couldn't be beat! Thank you for making my moving day so much easier!

Kevin and his moving partner Jeremy where Amazing! I am a single Mom moving across the country and my children and I simply could not have unloaded our PODS Moving container with out them! PODS is Amazing and Carter Moving and Home Improvement is Amazing! If anyone is looking for as stress free of a move as possible this is the way to go and the 2 Companies that will make it happen! I have used Carters for at least a half dozen moving projects large and small over the course of several years. If they say they will be there at 9am on a certain day. You can expect them there at that time. I have been comfortable enough to with the level of professionalism and service to recommend them to several friends and family for moves of their own. Bottom line they do a good job and are there when they say they will be.

I've used Kevin's services before and needed some moving help again this past weekend. They were very efficient, friendly, polite, and funny. I would definitely recommend Kevin and his crew to anyone needing moving assistance. Pricing is definitely reasonable.

I called around to several moving companies but Kevin was always the most responsive and seemed like the most reliable. They showed up on time and everyone was really professional and friendly. They got everything done super fast and even fixed some things at my new house so I didnt have to call a handyman. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and plan on using them in the future.

I called last minute in a panic yesterday because a different company had not shown up. Kevin and Jeremy showed up within and hour and a half (they drove to Roanoke from Lynchburg), and did a great job. I definitely pushed them, but there was no complaints. They loaded and unloaded a 15ft truck twice coming down from the fifth floor and up to the 3rd floor in the new place in 5 hrs. Will definitely use when I move again. Thanks guys!!

I can’t say enough great things about Kevin and his group. They moved us quickly and efficiently. To add a little extra no cost fun we found ourselves laughing and having a happy time with the gents as they loaded our truck in such a fashion as to pack it plum full with not one item moving out of place. I drove the truck myself and had thoughts that we would be greeted by a door opening and an avalanche of our belongings spilling out of the 26’ truck when we opened the truck gate. To my pleasant surprise? Not one thing was out of place!! Talk about Tetris to the Max!!

Carter Moving did an excellent job moving my family from our townhome to our house in Forest. Kevin and his crew were polite, courteous and efficient. They loaded and unloaded quickly while still being careful with our belongings. Highly recommend. Five stars!

Kevin and Jeremy were great. They arrived just slightly early and got right to work. There were things in the truck I had trouble even pushing forward, and one of them would just lift it like it was nothing. They moved what was an entire 15" truck in just over an hour, up a rather narrow staircase to the second floor. Both were friendly and very professional- I think I took more breaks than they did! I hope I'm not moving again anytime soon, but if I did they would absolutely be my first call.
