Hollow Tree Self Storage was founded by 4 partners local to Darien, CT. Robert Wood, Tim Wood, John Hertz and Paul Hertz.
They have been in the storage industry since 1990 owning Affordable Storage in Norwalk, CT and discovered that there was a potential need of additional storage for the community in Darien and surrounding towns, so they were able to find this land perfectly located and decided to sell the Norwalk location and build a brand new facility with the amenities and needs of the neighborhood.

When we saw that Hollow Tree Storage was just opened, we met with the management for a tour and pricing. Maria (the Manager) could not have been nicer- even one of the owners joined us on the tour to help expalin finishing touches they were working on. The facility is fantastic- state of the art, immaculate, extremely well lit, and easy to access.

We rented a unit and we were so impressed. The entire facility is so clean, having the garage to pull into when it was raining or so hot was a real plus as it was air conditioned as was the entire building. Having their large moving truck available and at a very discounted price was one of the reasons we decided to rent a unit. We would highly recommend anyone needing a storage unit to check it out. Also Jack and Maria who work in the front office were so friendly and helpful.

During the pandemic of 2020 I found myself with my family house burned down and in need of a place to store some things. Hollow tree came in saved the day with a great ground floor unit that was well priced and very clean. Fairly quiet and seldom trafficked. I could not speak high enough of this location. Compared to the other places around this is very easy to get to the entry and exit system are keypad based. Roll up doors are very smooth as building is very new. A+
