Trailer scraped our driveway, did not even have a normal moving box truck type vehicle. (They had a trailer more meant for lawn equipment- too low to the ground)
Items missing and some were placed in garbage that were damaged without saying a word about it.
Directed where items went and one guy completely ignored and just put things where he wanted (IE master closet put in child's bedroom, kitchen pantry put in garage) even though boxes also clearly labeled as to contents and location to bring.
Box marked fragile with glass inside it had heavy boxes on it and items were damaged.

I can't brag enough about these guys. Fast, efficient, professional and hey they have the muscles too! They came highly recommended by a neighbor who has used them twice and we are glad we chose them too. We recommended them to two other families that also used them and loved them. Not sure why there are 2 Doug's Hourly Movers listed but avoid. Showed up 3 hours late with no real apology. Packed the kitchen by literally throwing things in a box. Unpacking was eventually left to me all they wanted to do was leave, remember they showed up three hours late and now it was going on 6p... damaged many pieces of furniture, ripped the handle off a dresser, broke the wheels off the bottom of another, scratched the top of an antique chest, tore the bottom out of the box springs, tore the backing on a number of framed pictures by just grabbing the top of the frame, to name a

I have moved about a million times. I know good movers, and have been underwhelmed with the Florida crews I've worked with.
I was getting lunch and saw a guy in a tee shirt for this moving/packing company. I needed packing, and told him I was taking his picture.
I had a great crew. Joe, Joe, and "Joe." I recommend them for any packing/moving job. They worked carefully and quickly.
They did NOT pack my espresso machine, although they teased me about it.

Amazing!!! We would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Vern came out to give us an estimate, talked us through the process, and offered tips that would help keep our cost down and make the move quick and efficient. They called the day before to confirm and showed up promptly the next day. The two guys they sent were courteous, hard-working, fast and very efficient. We couldn't believe how fast they moved our entire apartment (which was on the third floor!) If you need movers, do not hesitate to hire these guys!!

This was the LEAST stressful moving experience with a moving company that I have had, and for that I am thankful to Doug's Hourly Muscle. If I move again, I will ABSOLUTELY hire them. I moved from my condo to a house about 40 minutes away. I spoke with Alex several times on the phone to discuss the move, and pricing. He was professional and very helpful. They were stuck in traffic on the day of the move, and called to let me know they were going to be a little late. (Happens to all of us). Avoid... and why.
1. Unloading (experience #1) ..... I have used and would use again. Actually that was a 5 star experience. Notice their name implies muscle and not skill.
2. Loading (experience #2): even though I supplied 5 dozen blankets only 2 dozen were used and things like wooden furniture were wrapped in the clear plastic wrap with no blanket. Lots of damage to lots of wood items. Also, heavy boxes were stacked on light boxes leading to more damage. This is amateur stuff. THE DAMAGE IS NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS USING DOUG'S HOURLY MUSCLE.

Had the guys come out and move a lot of my bigger items. They went from my new place to my uncles house to drop off and pick up a couch, then Timmy old house I loaded everything from my new house, packed up my stuff, put furniture back in my old house and then moved everything to my new location, they were quick and efficient and delightful to work with, this is the third time I have used Doug's hourly muscle and have been pleased every time

I have used these guys several times now, first for work, and then for personal use. They're fantastic! They always call to confirm the day before, they call when they're on the way, they show up on time, they work blazingly fast, and they're just plain nice.
It's a pleasure dealing with honest, hard working folks. The price is good, the service is amazing, and it just makes the job easy when you know you can count on the folks moving your belongings. They treat objects with care, and out of all the moves I've used their services on, I've never had a piece scratched

These guys were great! Took care of helping us finish packing on our very tight timeline, and were flexible in allowing the use of another truck. Jackie and Doug back at the office were great to deal with, and the pricing was extremely fair!
I would highly recommend Doug's to anyone needing movers in the greater Tampa Bay area!

Originally found Doug's Muscle Movers on Angie's List as a highly rated moving company and have to say that I agree with the reviews on Yelp and Angie's List. These guys were wonderful - fast, but careful with our belongings. They were light hearted and jovial with one another, yet never wasted time. I was surprised to find that our moving day was actually fun!
