I am so happy with my PV system. I don't even know it's there (except when the electric bill arrives!) Second Generation Energy was great, it really seems like they actually like -and care about- what they are doing. Happy to recommend them to others. Commercial facilities across the nation are stepping up to the promise of Solar Energy, from small businesses to large institutions.

Services
Established in 2008, Second Generation Energy is a Solar Integrator based in Massachusetts. We are owned and operated by a skilled team, and we are passionate about the work that we do. We believe that expanding renewable energy use combined with conservation measures will have the greatest impact on reversing climate change.
A Photovoltaic Solar System transforms energy from the sun into electricity for your home. It allows freedom from rising energy prices, creating energy independence and stability. Your energy is produced on-site using a noiseless, environmentally sound method. Solar power is clean and green. Conservation measures combined with renewable energy offer a real solution to the big problem of global climate change.
Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) are tradable certificates that represent the emission-free, clean energy that a solar system produces. New to Massachusetts in 2010, the Department of Energy Resources has implemented a Solar Credit market. This program offers an ongoing production incentive for homeowners and businesses with photovoltaic systems.
Yes, there are state rebates in various states but the rebate amounts per watt are always going down. The federal government currently offers a 30% tax credit the first year of purchasing a solar system. For more information about your state rebate program, go to Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) website.
We sell two main inverters: Enphase and SolarEdge. Below is some information about each of them - feel free to contact us with any questions! Before we dive into all the inverter details, here is a little refresher on how solar panels work. To generate electricity, sunlight shines on a panel and this panel converts the solar energy into DC current.

SGE has been great. We've had our panels for about 5 years and the energy savings and SREC payments were as advertised. Staff are always great when I have questions. We actually just sold our home with the panels and one of the selling points was the panels as an income producer. We will definitely will be working with SGe on our new home too.

Thanks!

I did a tremendous amount of research on panel producers and installers, and had a number of in-home consultations with different companies. SGE (and SunPower) was far and away the best - they were clearly the most knowledgeable, straightforward, and professional, and their commitment to customer service was impressive. They made everything incredibly easy, from the initial paperwork all the way through to connection, and the post-sale communication (particularly around SRECs) has been excellent.

I installed my system a year ago, and I've been truly amazed with the performance. I would highly
