We want to renovate and add to the house we already love. Also, we really need to update the 'house by the pool' because we love to entertain there. We have major wetlands constraints and will need to abandon our existing house. The new house needs to be modern and we have to capitalize on the amazing views of the water.

Zachary T. Clanahan Architect is an architectural design office based out of the Hamptons. Our expertise is in carefully designed dwellings spanning from East End Traditional, Hamptons' Style, to Modernist and Contemporary. A family approached our office to design a contemporary Cape Cod style house. We worked closely with the owners who were committed to detail and well versed in traditional American architecture. Due to the nature of the property, we performed acoustic and view studies to develop the layout of the house.

I highly recommend Zach Clanahan. We needed an architect to reinvent our backyard to make the space enjoyable for our family. Our contractor recommended Zach and we were impressed with his other projects in the neighborhood. We are glad we chose Zach! He thoughtfully listened to our objectives -- a pool house to host guests, patio space, pergola, etc. He also was very knowledgeable of the Southampton Village building codes, which facilitated approvals. We are very happy with the result and look forward to enjoying the space for years to come.
