We recently contracted with Stockton Tree Surgery to remove four mature trees. Three of them had significant challenges to removal: two were mostly overhanging a swimming pool, and a third was over our electrical service line. Edward came out to take a look and gave me an oral estimate on the spot, then followed that up with a written estimate (by email) within a day.
On the appointed day, Edward and crew were on time (actually, even a few minutes early), and got right to work. One person was in the trees, tying, cutting, and guiding them to the ground, while the rest got busy clearing and chipping

We asked them to trim our two beautiful shade trees in our front yard. We only wanted them cut back from laying on the roof of our house. When they were done, there was hardly anything left of them!! And now we have lots of sun and heat in the front of our house just in time for the triple digit weather.

I requested a quote on trimming some cypress a week ago and was promised a call with a quote. After a week of no response I have canceled this request and found someone else. But this is actually better service than when they did come about eight months ago! I inquired about removing a large diseased tree from my from yard that I was afraid would fall on my house sometime in the two years before the city could get to it. I was told "just file an insurance claim if it falls". They obviously don't want my business and probably don't want yours.
