We sell and install generators by Generac The are the best know brand in our area and a trusted name. The generators we sale are for whole house standby systems and work with grid tied and off grid homes. Generator systems are fully automatic and perform on their own with out home owner involvement.
The solar panels are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity throughout the day. The inverter converts the DC electricity generated by the solar panels into the alternating current (AC) electricity. The AC electricity is sent from the inverter to your electrical panel to power your lights and appliances with solar energy.
A grid tied system will reduce your electrical bill according to the amount of power you produce each year. On a Grid tied system the panels create power which is distributed in your home or business first and then any excess flows back into the grid creating a credit that you can use when the sun isn't shining.
Often the first option to going solar is reducing the KWH needed at your location. Lighting especially in commercial locations is a very high use of KWH. Retrofitting the lighting to LED can save hundreds or thousands of KWH and therefore lets you put a smaller solar system in. The payback for solar is 7-9 years, the payback on lighting can be as little as 8 months.

If you are looking for a local solar company then Ohio Valley Solar is it. The team will do good quality work in a reasonable amount of time . They are always competitive in pricing and go beyond the scope of work agreed on in the contract to insure the customer is happy . John the owner is very informative and will answer any and all questions as progress begins and all the way through the project .

After the first service call 1 year ago, I asked to be put on a regular service plan and was told I was on a plan. 2 months ago the light on the side turned red and yellow, I have been trying to get some service. They will not come by or even call back, great service once and nothing now. Needed this generator 2 times in 8 years and it hasn't worked yet. Terrible business for service.

We have now had Ohio Valley design and install a solar panel array for us three times, on two different homes, in 2017, 2019, and lastly, in July 2020. Each time the crew installed a product that reduced our electric usage from our electric company (Vectren) to zero for most months of the year. They even went out of their way to make it look symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing. We have only had one hiccup over 3 installs, which was fixed within a week's time of notification. It turned out to be a faulty circuit breaker, which they replaced at no cost to us. Positives: Small local business, they
