J&S Landscaping was founded in 2016 with a vision to provide quality service with reasonable prices. J&S has been our landscapers for over a year and their service is awesome. They provide year-round care for our investment properties, from snow removal to lawn & shrub care, and even a retaining wall that saved our property!
They have always been on time, clean, honest and professional. I wish they did work in NY. We highly recommend them for trustworthy, beautiful landscaping services. Jerry and the J&S team are people of their word. They took steps to kill the weeds that had taken over the brand new side in our yard and then over seeded the fill in the bald patches of grass.
It worked amazingly! Whatever they did to the yard they also did to the rest of the property, which was not even included in our agreement. The entire property looks great this Fall! We now have the makings of a great backyard to entertain as we initially hoped. Please see the updated photos! I would recommend this company as their intent is to satisfy their customers and deliver what they promised.

We hired J&S to install a fence. We were pretty disappointed with the whole experience.
They started a month behind schedule, got in a fight with our neighbor, didn't procure the correct pattern fence or the correct amount of materials, and it wasn't installed properly because the driveway gate began breaking almost immediately. It became clear they had not actually procured a gate, but had fashioned together a gate out of a piece of fence and scrap materials that rusted and broke within weeks... They also purchased more fence panels than they needed, which instead of refunding

This past spring we finally decided to redo the front yard for more curb appeal. It was to remove old mulch, plant grass seed, and put new mulch around some trees in the front and back yards. We got estimates from a lot of the local landscapers which varied wildly. Jerry came to the house and was very professional and explained what was needed to meet our expectations. The yard needed grading, stump removal and other projects. The crew came on time and over the period of about a week the work was completed. We are very happy with the way the project came out. We will definitely be using J&S

They did a great job on my fence and patio (though there were some issues initially with the patio when the crew had the wrong dimensions for the patio and dug and laid down p gravel on my lawn where it wasn’t suppose be laid—they remedied the situation my removing the gravel, adding topsoil, and reseeding). I used J&S for three seasons, but their crew has become unreliable. Scheduled services were not done when they were scheduled and no response from repeated requests fir communication forced me to switch to another landscaping service. Jerry, the owner, is a very nice guy and very professional

Update: After this post the issue with J&S was resolved amicably and they were able to respond and rectify the issue.Therefore I am updating the ratings
J&S, not sure if its just me. But J&S services have degraded over time. Jerry is great guy probably people working for him are unresponsive, rude. I have been following up on a poor quality job done with my lawn. my emails have gone unanswered and my phone calls disconnected. Customers are to be treated with respect and care. Maybe they have forgotten the mantra.

This company seemed very professional and very good to hire. Turns out that is not the case.
I scheduled an appointment for an estimate at 9 am they never showed up neither called, around 10 am I called and left a message and I am still “waiting” for them to return my call........if they can’t return a simple call I don’t think they would even finish the job if hired...

This company is great! Reliable and great communication. This past fall season my home was re-designed. I was provided with paver stone deck and a kitchen/grill area.
Even in the winter, I was provided with a estimate. I accepted the quote and in less than 48 hours, I was provided with a follow scheduled date. My property was placed on the schedule as soon as March. I highly recommend this company!

We were extremely satisfied with the spring clean up services. However, we did have an issue that has resulted in us choosing not to use this company in the future due to their integrity. We approved our contract which clearly stated that services included "hauling away all debris." While performing the services all of the debris was placed in the street in front of our house. Department of public works drove by and informed the landscapers that it is against township code to pick up grass clippings and that the debris could not be left in the street or else we would be fined. I recently moved North Plainfield and the house was completely overrun with weeds, grass and trees. My husband looked on yelp for a landscaper and found J&S. Jerry was a pleasure to speak with. As for the work, they did a fantastic job and were reasonably priced. Took them about 4 hours to do everything. Will definitely use them again for seasonal upkeep.

Great, efficient, landscaping company. Very curteous and thorough when doing the job. Cleaned up my backyard which seemed to look like a jungle due to weeks of rain. They gave me the heads up as to how much it would be(very fair), exactly when they will take care of the job, and followed up with any concerns. Everything was completed as expected! I will go back to them for a landscape design and will post before/after pictures with another review accordingly. I am very big on reviews and this one most definitely deserves 5 stars!
