Words can't describe how happy we are that we found Winter Construction to rebuild our deck, replace a patio cover and so many other more or less unexpected things. First of all, Tom and Chessa understand the value of communication. From the first time we reached out to the last day, we always knew what the plan was. Along the way, Tom always asked our opinion / preference before making any decisions and we felt listened to and valued. Tom is incredibly patient and always took the time to explain anything we didn't understand. Next, the quality! Tom is truly a master craftsman with such an attention

As we began our search for a contractor to remodel our main bath and hall bathroom we spoke with large companies (with equally large estimates), small companies, and one who didn’t bother to show up for our meeting. We are happy to say that we FINALLY found the best…Winter Construction. What began as two projects quickly became four; two bathrooms, a fireplace remodel, and a complete stair remodel. Tom is that good!

We have hired Tom and Chessa for 2 projects. We remodeled a bathroom 12 years ago and had covered porch/deck constructed 1 year ago. Tom does awesome work without question. Everybody loves our deck and comments on the quality craftsmanship, but it's the small things that sets him apart. He is keenly attentive to the details of your project and is respectful of your time and space. Even our skittish cats love him. We highly recommend Winter Construction.

We hired the Winters for a bathroom remodel. We are very pleased overall.
When we had the Winters out for an estimate, we scheduled for a Saturday, 3 weeks ahead of time. Based on experiences with other contractors, with that much time having passed, I felt the chance was high they'd have forgotten or be late. No! They were right on time, even at our hard to find rural property. So that was my first good impression.
The estimate was good so we scheduled. The date for the work was quite a few months out, but the Winters were great about setting expectations. They didn't try to sugar coat that

Tom has always been the consummate professional that takes extreme pride in his work. Has the experience to ask questions about things the homeowner may not have thought about, which is very helpful and may reduce some heartache later on down the road. Chessa communicates project scope, timelines and responds to questions in a very timely manner. STRONGLY recommend Winter construction for large or small projects around your home, these guys are incredible!

I highly recommend Winter Construction to any one looking to remodel or update any aspect of their home. We hired them for the second time in two years and were, once again, extremely impressed with the quality and professionalism of Tom and Chessa Winter. The first job (winter of 2010) was remodeling and updating of a master suite and the second job, just completed, was updating a full bathroom. The estimates for both jobs were realistic, reasonable, and very close to the final cost. Tom’s workmanship was excellent and done to our satisfaction.
