Imagine this, it is the week of Christmas, and your furnace goes out. Now I do have a home warranty and I called and did not think that a company would come out on Christmas Eve, but Douglas Mechanical did, I was surprised when they scheduled a tech to come out on Christmas Eve. Josh showed up about 11:00 am and diagnosed the issue, the control board was not working because my unit was not turning on. It was Monday or Tuesday after Christmas that my warranty company called me to inform me that they were going to replace the furnace, they also needed to go over the additional charges that I needed

I have used alot of companies in the past, but this is the best company so far. It all starts with customer services and Megan and Jessica handle that very well. Then when the Technician name Edward called, he made me feel like everything will be ok. When Edward came out he delivered exceptional service. Thanks for your service. We had to get our thermostat replaced. Our service with Douglas Mechanical from Huff at our home was a great experience. He was polite and professional. I recommend him. He got the job done quick and everything went smoothly. Thank you Huff for coming out and fixing our thermostat.

I had an AC go out in an older house and I called Douglas Mechanical to fix it. They sold me on replacing the entire system. In the last year, my high end AC unit has gone out 4 times and they've have to come out to look at it 6 times with 3 different repairmen, always promising that the issue is fixed. I don't trust their installation was done properly and I don't trust their repairs. Go elsewhere

The service tech , Joe was very professional, took time to review any areas of concern, as the vents. Measuring the heat temp output of each vent. Joe was very polite, caring . Making sure he addressed any helpful tips with my high ceilings. Joe has my ☆☆☆☆☆ Star review. Keep up the good job. Would recommend Douglas Mechanical for heating & AC needs .

Eric, my technician, was great. He called 45 minutes prior to arrival, he identified issues that needed to be addressed, and handled them professionally and courteously. He suggested adding germicidal ultraviolet lights since I have a number of allergies. I had not considered this option previously. All in all a nice experience and I would definitely do business with Douglas Mechanical again in the future.

Even though we live in the Bryan/College Station area, they were on-time for every appointment. Everyone from the original diagnostic tech to the salesman to the installer was courteous, knowlegeable, and professional. Cracks in the ceiling from a misstep were fixed within a few days. Any additional needs that popped up after the install were handled quickly and efficiently, and they called to make sure that we were satisfied with the job.

I had a technician at my house this past Thursday because I was having trouble with my heat. This first technician left me with still with no heat so I decided get a second opinion. Reginald Houston came to my house this morning on time and was very polite. As he was working on my unit he was explaining his finding and expressing what he would be doing next. I thought that was very informative and I highly recommend Reginald.

I was originally introduced to the company via my Home Warranty. They did such a great job that I also started using them for additional (rental) properties. I purchased the silver maintenance plan (for one of my units) last year which came with fall + spring seasonal maintenance. A couple of months ago, I scheduled the spring maintenance. However, it was raining during the appointment so the tech could not complete the maintenance on the outside unit. Douglas mechanical was assigned by our home warranty company to service our ac issue.
Their technician came out the next day(Friday)as scheduled to access the problem.
I contacted them Monday morning to get an update and was told that they had not received approval for the work order.
I contacted the home warranty company to follow up and they told me nothing had been submitted yet.
I call Douglas mechanical back and was told they would follow up.
I called Home warranty Tuesday morning after hearing nothing and was told they still had not received the report.

Douglas Mechanical recently made a special LATE Friday afternoon trip all the way to our home in Brenham to replace the blower fan motor on our a/c unit. They could have have waited, but they did not! Both techs who worked replacing it were professional, courteous and very mindful of our needs. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Huff came out today
Had issue with new unit as a result of the winter storm and power going in and out...took him a bit to figure it out the issue but he got it! The kids are cool upstairs now..
Huff was very polite and courteous...better than most tech's I've experienced in the past with various companies.
Customer service is key in any industry and goes a long way.
I would definitely request Douglas Mechanical again and bump the request to have Huff be the tech to service my home a/c!

My transformer was replaced on Feb 3rd 2021, and a few hours after setting my thermostat to heat on February 13th (before the Houston freeze) the thermostat died and I was left without heat. After desperate calls, I was offered a service on Wednesday, February 17th ... no sense of obligation or urgency to repair what they'd done! I was able to get another HVAC company in and they showed me how the wiring was incorrect, which is what caused the transformer to blow. So, not only incompetent, but also unprofessional.

I was referred to Douglas Mechanical by AHS due to my AC not coming on. They called me the same day and scheduled my service appointment for the very next day for 7-11 am. Eric was the technician that came out, he called 30 mins before his arrival and was very courteous and kind. Eric was very knowledgeable and answered every question that I had. He was able to solve the problem in a timely manner and I was very pleased with his professionalism. Called AHS for my A/C not working and they sent out Edward Monday with an estimated arrival of 3PM - 8PM. He called 30 min before his arrival of 3:25. He was quick, professional, very respectful of the home, and took his time to explain the issues that were occurring and his recommendations. Great company and personnel. Much better than the one that I had to go through with AHS previously.

They did not get to my request for 2 days in July and then did not honor the contract they hold with American Home Shield. My appointment was for between 7 and 11 and he did not show up until after 1pm. They tried to up sell me services that are covered. I think American Home Shield should discontinue using them, and I will be letting them know. I was on hold over an hour trying to get a hold of someone there to answer why they would not cover my issue.

I had a warranty call for my 18 year old AC unit. Given the age of my unit, I've had warranty calls in the past with other companies that I have vowed to never use again! My technician Rider called before coming and explained the multiple issues with my AC unit. He was professional and respectful, wore a mask and shoe covers. He took pictures of the problem areas and documented it well for the warranty company. Because of my positive experience with Rider, I would highly recommend Douglas Mechanical!

Incredibly bad job. First of all - overselling services and selling what is not necessary to replace under the excuse of license requirements. Also, incredibly slow and rude customer service ("if you think that our service is bad, that is just your opinion and we don't care about it" - literally the words of the service manager). And finally - replaced a coil in our unit, and the replacement lasted for 1 month. Now it's out of order again. Stay away from these people.

Unfortunately this is the company we are working with due to our home warranty. This company has been irresponsible and unresponsive on so many counts. Their tech has been to our home several times, at one point came with the wrong part, had to reschedule with the correct part. Did not show up to the appt with the correct part. The "correct" part did not fix the issue and after coming out again identified another probable cause for the issues we are having. Scheduled to come out and fix it on Friday (6 days ago) and again did not show up. No phone call, nothing. We called Friday, Monday

Had a new AC system installed a few months ago it was a two stage Trane which helps keep humidity down noticed I had had humidity issues (60-70%) but wanted to wait until hot months to fine tune the Freon level and the humidity issue. I am having to run a dehumidifier 24 seven which I have to dump out four times a day which is 4 to 6 gallons of water where the AC should be doing this my AC runs 3/4 of the day to try and keep humidity down but it won't go below 60%
First tech after a week came out said it was a wire issue not connected to thermostat properly so they had special crew come
