Hinshaw Custom Tile is owned and operated by Richard Hinshaw. His father started the business in 1952 as Hinshaw Tile that is now currently operated by Richard's brother. Although they're operating two separate companies, the Hinshaw family have decades of experience under their belts to provide some of the best tiling services in North Carolina.
Ceramic tiles are glazed tiles fired one or more times to achieve the desired look and texture. They can be appropriate for most residential floor and wall use but are not appropriate for exterior installations. Porcelain tiles are made up of finer particles than Ceramic and also fired at a high temperature, thus resulting in a harder, denser tile.

Richard has been working in the tile business since 1989 when he started to work for his brother at Hinshaw Tile, the business his father began in 1952. He continued to work for his brother until he decided to branch out into a business of his own in 1995.

They can be appropriate for most residential floor and wall use but are not appropriate for exterior installation as they will not withstand the freeze/thaw cycles in our area and will result in cracked tiles.
We used Hinshaw Custom Tile during our master bathroom renovation. Richard and his team were so helpful and friendly from beginning to end. Richard helped us with our design as well as sourcing out the best materials. They completed the marble work in a timely manner while maintaining excellent craftsmanship.

I highly recommend Hinshaw Custom Tile. Richard Hinshaw and Patrick Ward are hard working, easy to talk to, very knowledgable and professional. These two gentlemen worked on our bathroom remodels. Richard made suggestions on grout color that I would not have known the difference on. It ended up looking perfect. Patrick suggested a few accessories that we added to our shower and they look wonderful. I appreciate both of these men taking such good care of us and getting the job done well and quick.

I used Hinshaw Custom Tile for a bathroom remodel project and was very impressed with the work that was done. Mr. Hinshaw and his helpers were very professional and also very neat. They cleaned up as they went and the installation was pretty painless. They even mopped the bathroom floor before they left. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
