Tom and Debbie Harrie, of Apple Valley, have operated High Desert Chimney Sweep since 1981. Tom is state licensed contractor and belong to the National Chimney Sweep Guild. We participate in continuing education through both guilds, and have helped others in the chimney field by having workshops. Our goal is to make people and their homes safer.
A level 1 inspection is done with all cleanings, we pride ourselves in educating the customer. We will answer any questions that they might have, with the hope that the customer will get the most out of their heating system and do it safely. The company offers cleaning, repair and maintenance of fireplaces, chimneys and wood-burning stoves.
Due to an over whelming need, our company added dryer vent cleaning in the last 15 years. We also have fireplace and hearth accessories, as well as replacement parts if needed. In 1996 we found a way to better serve our customers, and became the Premier Dealer for Solatube Skylights and Solar Star attic fans.

Lint and additional debris can build up in your clothes dryer vent and may cause your dryer to exhaust at less than optimum efficiency. This creates potentially hazardous conditions including carbon monoxide intrusion and the possibility for exhaust fires. If a gas clothes dryer is improperly vented or the exhaust duct itself is blocked by lint or debris, carbon monoxide can be forced back into your living space.
