Trees Vermont
The EAB is responsible for the destruction of more than 50 million ash trees in the U.S. since it was first discovered (in North America) in Michigan in 2002. It has since been found in more than 18 states and Canada. This metallic green beetle is native to East Asia, and was imported to the U.S. within the wood of shipping crates from China.

Ash trees are killed by the tunneling activity of the larvae under the tree's bark, which disrupts the vascular flow. Most trees die within just 2 to 4 years of becoming infested. For the best possible outcome treatment should begin as soon as the EAB has been detected in your area while your trees trees still appear healthy.

Trees Vermont are Practicing and Consulting Arborists, Providing Tree Pruning, Tree Removal, Tree Trimming & Repair, Restoration, Cabling, Pest & Disease Treatment, Emerald Ash Borer Treatment, Tree Assessments, Construction & Managment Planning and other Tree Consultations. I would highly recommend working with Rick and his team at Trees Vermont. We hired them to prune and cable a large walnut tree in our yard. Rick thoughtfully addressed all of my concerns prior to moving forward and even showed up day of to make sure that I was comfortable. He is clear communicator and his team did great work. This job required a skilled arborist to do it well and we were so glad that we chose Trees Vermont to do it.

I initially contacted Richard Wood of Trees Vermont to get his perspectives on our two ash trees here in Montpelier.
Richard was MOST helpful, extremely intelligent and balanced about the pros and cons of conducting a multi-year treatment program and gave solid advice.
Even when I opted to go with a local area peer firm, he was most professional and said I had chosen a good local provider whom he would recommend himself.
Richard was PROFESSIONAL TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE.
I would recommend him without one second of hesitation. He and his firm are rare in a world of increasing mediocrity and lack

A medium box elder fell on my garage during the Nov 2017 storm, and their team arrived relatively quickly and promptly cut and hauled away the tree. The price was fair given the circumstances and the time involved.

When seven baby trees grew to be huge 100 foot tall monsters and were threatening our home, Trees Vermont came to our rescue. In just a few short hours they were all safely on the ground and then heated our home instead of crushing it.
These guys are amazing, and the techniques are really cool to watch.

We had Rick help out as a subcontractor while he was in Florida, his work is superb and he taught us a lot while he helped us out pruning some messy Laural oaks.

Rick Wood and his team at Trees Vermont are the only ones I call upon when I need tree-related work done on our property. We've used them on multiple occasions for everything from storm-related cleanup to planned removals. Always prompt, always courteous, and always fairly priced with accurate estimates, I would never consider using anyone else.

Rick is awesome! He came all the way to south Alabama just to help other tree guys become Certified Arborists.
