Not just about old houses (although we do know old houses very well), Vintage is really about creating all kinds of custom kitchens, bathrooms and other cabinetry installations that work very well for the people that use them, and look great in the homes they are installed in.
The styles may vary, but these projects share a track record of long-lasting value thanks to both the quality of the cabinetry itself and the longevity of well thought out design.Sue got her start designing kitchens in 1985 after becoming inspired by renovating her own Bungalow kitchen. She favors a collaborative approach with clients, with an emphasis on architectural awareness.
Clients generally know how they want to work in their space. I consider myself a facilitator in helping them get there. Steve has worked in construction and cabinet-making for 35 years. He is an excellent resource for questions relating to cabinet installation, as well as any technical issues that relate to your kitchen.

We are very pleased to have been chosen to design and build the new kitchen for the historic Styles Bridges House. This classic brick house was built c.1835 and was donated to the State of NH by the family of long-time US Senator Styles Bridges in 1969. Although it is officially the New Hampshire Governor's Residence, it will serve many state functions and also be available to host local non-profit events.
One of our real strengths at Vintage Kitchens is the ability to design new kitchens that reflect traditional architectural styles yet they function like thoroughly modern kitchens -- as new kitchens should. This kitchen features handplaned wood with a milk paint finish, artistically distressed to create a sense of age.
We are so fortunate in this area to have the Canterbury Shaker Village museum just a few miles away. We designed this kitchen for an actual Shaker built house that still features the original wood windows and beautiful splayed trim. The details of the cabinetry were custom matched to original woodwork elsewhere in the house.
