Summit Handyman located in Union County, NJ came about when Gabe the lead tradesman and his wife Christine saw a need for home repair services when family and friends called often (OK, very often!) for minor projects since they didn't have the free time, power tools or how-to on fixing things around the house.
Property sellers/Realtors contact us with punch list to make their properties more marketable. Glass subway tile added value to client's home with a modern classic appearance that will blend with any style. Fresh coat of paint, new light fixtures and wood railing with decorative post adds more character to this basement level multi-functional space.

We used Summit to renovate our bathroom and they really delivered! The project was complete in only 3 days, the quality of work was fantastic, and they were always on time. They were also very friendly and cleaned up after themselves very well. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be using them in the future.

Had the Summit Handyman replace the railings on our deck. Quality of work was extraordinarily poor. What a mess. $3500 for a major eyesore. The wood is seriously cracked and has huge gouges in it. Joints are very poor, so he slapped on gobs of wood putty to cover them. Part of the job was put together with screws and the rest with nails when he ran out of screws. Some bolts were countersunk and others not. WTH? Balusters attached with screws without predrilling holes so many are cracked and cockeyed. Two knowledgeable people looked the work and just stared in disbelief. Wnen we called him to come

We needed a mailbox and post installed ASAP and contacted several handyman services. Dave was the only one who got back us. He was willing to squeeze us in his busy schedule. Dave and Gene showed up as promised and did an excellent job. I highly recommend them and would use them again for my handyman needs.

I have hired Gabe 3 times thus far. He is quick to respond to my texts, which I appreciate. He is able to do a plethora of work - plumbing, painting, drywall repair, etc. That makes it convenient for me because then I don't have to look for a new contractor whenever I have something new that needs repair. So far, he has installed my wall moldings, fixed my living room ceiling, fixed my closet and bathroom doors, and patched my walls throughout the house. He goes the extra mile to take care of you. For example, he walks around my house and fixes stuff that need adjusting. He does great work

I cannot overstate how good Dave is at his job. We had him out to do a number of tasks including, but not limited to, replacement of a leaking kitchen drainpipe, repair of a water damaged ceiling area and repair of some walls where the surface had begun cracking and peeling. He also repaired a corner of our finished basement where wood trim was needed. And everything was cleaned up afterward. His quote was fair, communication and follow through excellent and he was a pleasure to work with. Professional, efficient and concerned about his customers' needs. Thank you, Dave!

I am in the process of getting my home on the market and Dave has been great to work with. He fixed my fence, my deck, a window well window, and did a magnificent job power washing my house.
Dave also points out items that you may need done. He is efficient, clean and a nice guy. I will definitely use Dave in the future and give out his number I highly recommend Dave.

Dave was very accommodating and willing to work around my schedule to come out and replace my disposal. He was willing to come out after work at 7pm and did not charge me a premium! His prices were very fair and affordable. He was very friendly and even cleaned up afterward!
