ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING COMPANY IN THE COUNTRY. They know they're the worst also which is why they lie during quotes and are unresponsive once they have your household items. My movers are 11 days late and continue adding charges. The original quote was $4000 to move 515 cubic feet from Seattle to Chicago, IF I ever receive my stuff I will have paid over $5,500. They were 28 hours late picking up my shipment and never once wore gloves or mask even after using my bathroom. I hope they close their doors and no one deserves to go through anything like this. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! This moving experience has been absolutely HORRIFIC from start to finish. These people are LIARS, CROOKS and every single box will be delivered smashed/damaged. Please let me save you the headache and heartache - I wish somebody would have warned me.
It started when they showed up to pick up our items - they originally quoted us $2200... which mysteriously became $3700 the day of the pickup!!!! Alex and his team pulled off the impossible: they safely, successfully and relatively quickly moved a large sofa into our third floor condo. They did it on time, with a great, friendly attitude and with minimum disruption to our neighbors and community. We are definitely using them again and I would recommend Town Moving without hesitation.

I got a good vibe from the initial inquiry call with Sergei. All my questions were answered promptly and clearly prior to the move. We had 4 movers, 3 locations in one day, in addition I had a heavy piano to be moved through some stairs. Our belongings were nicely organized and secured in the truck. Great job all around.

2016 nightmare move from these people!
missing boxes, damaged goods, bait and switch with their prices. AND told the truck would not fit and charged me more which was a lie! They did not set up my beds when I got there either.

I called many moving companies for my move from Pasadena to Hollywood. It required only one truck and so many other places that quoted me gave me all these contingencies on final pricing and all. Alex and his team at Town moving provided me with a reasonable flat rate and the two gentlemen got to work. The absolute epitome of unprofessional.

The pick up of my belongings went smoothly enough but that is where it ended. For my part, there was an issue with my payment which my bank notified me of (moving, large sums of money, and many checks raises red flags) and I was contacted by the "owner" of this company shortly thereafter.

I immediately advised her I was aware of the situation and asked how I could get her payment as quickly as possible. She began by forcefully explaining the necessity to receive payment which I acknowledged but when she began to to raise her voice

These guys were great! Very responsive via phone/email when getting everything set up. Alex even helped me find an optimal storage unit for my belongings. Day-off movers were fast, clean, and super nice! I really appreciate everything the Town Moving team did to make my move easy and comfortable! I highly recommend them!

These guys are awesome. I moved from South Bay area to Central Coast and wanted to go with local movers. Alex was quick to respond and very informative. He gave me a run down on every steps they were going to do, and updated throughout the process so I knew what was going on. They were thorough with their moving process and ensured my stuff wouldn't be damaged during hauling process. I'd choose them again when I move next time.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They will bait you with a super low quote (half of a competitor's rate) which should be a fairly clear indicator of the type of service that you can expect to receive. After scheduling your move, do not expect to speak to a real person unless you call everyday and leave a voicemail on every extension. Eventually, they will call you back.

Going through the boxes I realized I was missing a box with my DSLR Camera and other items inside which have not yet been identified. When I called to question this and the broken poster frame and poster that never showed up Costello begins to yell at me. The phone conversation was recorded as I was warned it would be being connected to the call. Costello starts to yell at me telling me it was my fault the poster frame was broken because he claims I didn't want to pay the extra money for proper packaging. HOWEVER! I paid an extra $150 for extra packaging! I have the contract still

These people are low down and dishonest. They dont care about your story, children or situation, they just want your hard earned money and time without avtually doing anything. They took my money and stopped answering my calls. Their "customer service" is a joke and goea to voicemail. They advertise themselves as a small business that needs a chance but these are just licensed crooks. I encourage others to report them to the bbb so they can no longer scam hard working families and steal from us. If i could give less than one star, i would. Don't let them scam you.

Like others, if I could give negative stars I would. The good reviews which aren't planted reviews are when they outsource to a reputable company. The company is an overall scam with Luis at the top -- can't prove it yet but I believe he owns most if not all of the company by my research. This company is by far the worst company I have ever have to deal with. I scheduled my move with Luis and everything went smoothly. I put down my deposit and the first thing I asked was is the deposit refundable? Luis said the deposit is 100% refundable if I changed my mind. Unfortunately we had a change of heart and decided not to move. This is where it all started. I called to cancel my move the very next day. If I could leave a review with no stars, I would feel better. I initially started the process with Luis Ortiz. He's the guy that reaches out to people who requests quotes. He initially came down to the price that was suitable for us. Once we set up a date for pickup, they didn't show because of a truck malfunction. So they came the next day with contracted guys...they stated that they don't contract their moves. On the pickup, more fees were added because they had to pack the items. However, it was mentioned that the move would be all-inclusive after the agreed upon rate.

2 days ago Luis called to say "my boss would like to offer you some cash to change your review". Really? They didn't offer me cash when I was just an unhappy customer that had been literally name called and horribly served by their business. Luis, keep the bribe. It's more important to me that other consumers know what they're getting dealing with this company.

Moving 1-2 times a year is very common for me! I've used Moving companies from all across the USA and I have to tell you by far Best In Town Moving Has been bar far the best experience. The Crew was professional and understanding through moving stress. I will recommend them and continue to use in the future.

This move never got out of the gate. The sales person was professional throughout the early process. I was quoted a price which I thought was fair. I was told that my home goods would be picked up on one of two days. I sent an email to them last Thursday I did not hear anything back. I called this am and spoke to Castello the CFO he said they would pick up my goods tomorrow between 11-1pm. I asked why no one had called me to give me notice he said they were going to call in the next hour to let me know. I was skeptical so I looked on yelp to look up reviews after reading several I think

I have never written a review before but I felt compelled to warn future customers after my experience. I have formally filed a claim with the company and a complaint with the Department of Transportation so I am very serious about these allegations. A brief list of my complaints against the company are as follows...

1. Loss - After opening boxes filled with personal items, I realized that my appraised $800 antique pearl necklace had been stolen.

2. Damage - After the movers assembled my bed and left I realized that my box spring was stained and soaking wet.

3. Delay - My pick up date was 5

DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS!!!! I was robbed of money when I was told to pay cash and they claimed I paid them $500 less than I did so I owed more when my stuff was dropped off. They kept my stuff in storage for 15 days before it left New Jersey for it's California destination. These guys are CROOKS and will steal your money!! DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!
