Beware prospective buyers, I called and as requested I sent photos of the stationary side glass panel for a patio door. When I made a follow up call to receive a quote the rather unprofessional owner stated the replacement and installation cost would be around $700.00 - $900.00. I asked if he could be more specific in the price and he stated, to do that he would have to come over and when he got here he will need a deposit then and there because he is not going there for his exercise. I had a great experience with Northlite Glass and Mirror. I called them just to get an estimate for the dimensions I wanted for a custom mirror in my bathroom. The owner Fred said he could get it done the next day if I got back to him soon. I contacted other companies who either didn’t answer their phones/return my calls or had only slightly lower pricing and were at least 5 weeks out on installation. Apparently there are jobs too small for them. Went to get a single pane of glass in a window replaced. Said the won’t do it. They’ll only replace both sides. I then asked for a quote on that. Was Then told $292 And it was that much because the internal grid between the two panes... grid is perfectly fine and there would be zero reason to replace the grid. On top of all that, the man working was cranky as all hell, wasn’t wearing a mask and there was zero signage about doing any business on their porch. I was building a memorial flag case for my Dad’s burial flag and needed a piece of glass cut for it. I took the case with me and after 10 minutes of very pleasant conversation, Fred had cut a perfect piece of glass for my case. Great customer service and nice down to earth people there. Went to the store 4 times to get a quote on shower doors. First time the owner was on vacation. Understandable. On other trips owner was out and the other staff does not "do anything with showers". Asked to make an appointment and was told no, we just had to keep trying to catch him in. Gave up and sent email with the info, asking for an estimate and to set up measuring appointment. Wasn't really surprised when we didn't get a response. Tried to use a local store instead of a big box but it got us nowhere.

I have a custom built fireplace and one of the glass windows had shattered. I went to Northlite and they walked me through the process of making a template. This turned out to be essential as the custom nature of the fireplace meant that the measurements were quite a bit odd and not straight. They cut the glass while I was there and also installed a gasket on it. It fit perfectly! Now my family and I can enjoy our fireplace again

I recently visited Northlite Glass for a custom glass plate and was very impressed with the customer service. Fred was very helpful and walked me through every option I had with regards to the different materials that were available. After working with me to select the right material for the application the glass was cut to my specified dimensions and the edges sanded down right in front of me. In about a half hour I walked out the door with exactly what I needed.

Used their service once, about a year ago. The job, replacing window glass, took longer than quoted, and cost more than quoated. The owner gave me excuses and attitude when I picked the window up. Fast forward another year...I live right around the corner from the business, so, thinking everyone deserves a second chance, I brought him a bathroom screen. He assured me it would be done the next day. After two days and no word...I called them. They said they couldn't fix it, would have to be remade. I asked them for a quote on timeframe and price. North lite glass was amazing! We were avoiding getting our window replaced because our research made it seem like a difficult process but they proved us so wrong. We went in asked if they could replace the broken glass, they said half an hour then revised to ten minutes. We waited and it was perfect. They were so friendly and funny! Can’t reccommend them enough!!!

Absolutely horrible customer service. Will never do business here again. They had trouble fixing a couple of windows that wouldn't stay up in our house. When I didn't want to pay for the "labor" the second time they came out to my house and told me they couldn't fix them (I had already paid $70 just to have them come out for 5 minutes and look at them) the owner filed a claim with small claims court that very SAME DAY. His invoice states terms of payment are 30 days from date of invoice. We ended up paying him the next day just so that we wouldn't have to deal with

I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN. Bought a piece of replacement glass for my wood stove which he cut and said was "Neoceram" glass which is very expensive, costing me almost $200 for a piece approx. 19"x11". I put the glass in which is held in place with clips that you screw in to hold the glass being sure not to tighten too tight nor leave too loose. The process is very easy and no special tools or skills are needed to "install" this glass. It is easy in and easy out. Stove manual does not recommend any specialist to take out or put in glass. I had two large mirrors from two bathrooms that had some corrosion of the reflective surface at the bottom due to moisture. Northlite said they could cut off the bad portion for around $10 per mirror. But while attempting to cut of the bottom off one mirror he broke it in two, diagonally. No apology - just "that shouldn't have happened." He then quoted a price of $160 to replace the mirror - no discount, still no apology. Claimed that all cuts are at customer risk, but had not told me that before starting. Then he still charged $10 for cutting the other mirror.
