The economic situation in the early 1990's created a void for competent contractors. After personally working for several incompetent contractors and having to constantly struggle for a weekly paycheck, it became clear to me that the keys to success in this business are held by a satisfied homeowner.
R&M Design/Build focuses on those clients whose budgets don't allow for a full-scale architectural contract, but still need the creative vision and industry experience to help design an aesthetically pleasing, structurally sound project. The Design/Build process starts with an experienced design team fully capable of feasibility studies, renderings, elevations, 3D modeling and construction documents.
Since 1992 R&M Carpentry has been in business solving and fulfilling our customer's carpentry needs; from finely detailed woodworking all the way to large scale additions and new homes, you can count on us for dependability and quality craftsmanship. R & M Custom Contractors just completed an insulation project in my condominium complex. The quality of their work is excellent! The work crew was friendly and knowledgeable--they answered any questions I had and explained each phase of the work thet were doing. They arrived promptly each day and worked with skill and efficiency. They did a thorough clean-up every day and took great care with my furniture and belongings when putting them back in place at the end of the project. I would highly recommend R & M Custom Contractors for any renovation or construction project you are planning!

- Hired R&M Custom Contractors from a referral. They did a $300,000.00 1st & 2nd floor total renovation to our 1,200 sq ft cape (in Stratford) which included an 800 sq ft in law addition.
