I had some old, overgrown decorative trees on my property, and one nice big maple that had grown out of control and was near my electric drop. I called them and got on the list, understanding that it would be a while. About the time when they said they would be available they called and arranged to come out, a few hours later they arrived and set right to work. The trees that had to go came down quickly and cleanly with no damage to anything. Then they started in trimming and thinning the maple tree. That took the most time but I am really happy with how it turned out, I have hopes that next summer

This company was contracted by AES to trim trees near the power lines in my backyard. I spoke to the supervisor the morning they started & advised I only wanted the mimimum15 feet required by AES cut from my tree. I repeated myself at least 10 times during our conversation. Instead they completely butchered my 30 yr old tree & numerous other limbs from the other trees no where near the power lines. They cut 6 in diameter limbs 5 feet off the ground. Power lines aren't 5 feet off the ground! One side of the large tree is completely gone! The tree is so off balance that when we get a hard storm it

After telling them not to go on my property (inside fenced yard) while I was not home, within minutes were caught on video in my backyard Trespassing!. the workers were all of my yard on the opposite corner from where they needed to be. Very disrespectful of personal property and rude bullies. Used my fence to hold their equipment.. Dropped branches on items in the back. Stressed my dogs out with the noise and walking back and forth across the lawn.
Take a ride through Wash Twp/Centerville and see the hack job they are doing ruining the trees. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

UDATE: The owner of the company called me about an hour after my original review (below). He was very sincere and apologetic for the product that was given to me. After explaining what exactly had happened(which I found to be a very logical and reasonable explanation) he gave me a full refund of purchase and delivery and asked if there was anything else I felt like I needed to correct the situation.
Ordered 6 yards of compost from them and it was full of trash, including but not limited to bottles, bottle caps, wire, styrofoam, dip cans, underwear and socks.

This company was contracted by DP&L to clear the power lines in our backyard as well as the neighboring houses. Instead they killed at least 2 trees but didn't bother to cut down the remaining trunks, left 1 almost half stripped (unnecessarily), and still have numerous other limbs from the other trees still in contact or very close to the power lines. If you're going to desecrate someone's property, then at least make sure you go all in.
For the record, I have cleared power lines when working for the city in the past. You don't cut a tree limb that's 5 feet away from the line. Trees don't grow

Critical: Quality
I cannot even look at my trees anymore since they were butchered by these guys. If Fitzwater wants to stand by their “quality”, then come and remove the stump you created in my yard.

As far as their social acknowledgement to their customers, it isn’t terrible. They came back a second time and never knocked or anything. The trimming was ok. I definitely don’t like to look at trees that are butchered around power lines and that’s definitely what they did. They cut WAY more than they needed to. They even trimmed trees not even near power lines which we didn’t ask for. I will say their cleaning up of the tree debris was very well done. They left holes in our yard from where the branches fell which is annoying but understandably out of their control.

My experience with Mark at Fitzwater;'s has been great. Some of the negative feed back on here is out of their control. You can hire them to clean the trees up that are under the power lines. They will do a nice job.

I got a notice from DP&L saying this company would be doing routine maintenance for line clearing. This was great news due to us wanting a tree trimmed for a new pool but needed the lines cleared first. I called and explained our situation to see if someone could give a date of when the work would be done and someone came out that day to look at tree. The next morning the company came and worked quickly. I appreciate the company working with my timeline since I know they have a lot of work to do. The tree trimmer we have coming with a different company told me when they clear lines it won’t exactly

WARNING Do not let these fools near your trees! They butcher them. They are extremely rude and do not work with the customers. Lies, yelling, and horrible attitudes. Worst trimming experience of my life! Ruined my tree, Then they left ALL the huge branches laying in my yard and refused to pick up. Fitzwater rep, Jay, hung up on my twice when I called! Most unprofessional business practices.

This company's workers were so unprofessional! We had a big beautiful black walnut tree and they have butchered it! Cut way more that they should have for the power lines. I even asked them to take it easy because we had lots of squirrels that lived in it, but they have destroyed my tree... Also damaged some of our property so please pay attention to who you have come out and do a job for you...
