Having an extensive knowledge of fine woodworking (John as a furniture maker and David as organ builder) and construction, plus their fancy accents, they naturally took Columbia by storm. Several years later they have secured a reputation in the city as a quality and honest builder.
Now, with a team of extraordinary people behind them, they continue to build upon their reputation. It's Monday morning, everyone's getting ready for school and work. As Owner/Founder of Celtic Works, David wears many hats and wears very big shoes. David brought his family over from Ireland in 1994 and just recently became an official American citizen (Go ahead and clap, it's okay). David has an extensive background in fine woodworking and organ building. That's right folks, this man is extremely talented!
Let's be honest, this is going to take some of your time. You're going to need to do some shopping to select your fixtures and make other selections. After the construction begins, there will be site visits that you will need to make to discuss things with the site supervisor. Don't be worried about this, we will give you advance notice, so you can plan around your son's t-ball game!

Celtic renovated three of our bathrooms. The quality of the work was outstanding. Celtic planned the renovation out so that we had someone at our house working almost everyday, so no wasted time. Everyone was very responsive to any question or concern I had before and during construction. I highly recommend them.

Celtic Works is the best of the best! We contracted with Celtic to perform an extensive remodel of our 20 year old home. A complete kitchen and master bath rework (and much more). It feels like a brand new home. Their personnel and contractors were a pleasure to work with during the entire project. Aaron was in charge of our project and was always available to consult, guide, and execute. He simply is the best. Would be work with Celtic again? Yes, no doubt!

Having worked with David and his team, it is easy to see why they have earned a reputation as one of the top builders in the Midlands. We have been very impressed with their interactions with our team and with their clients. They are always very respectful of everyone involved and their integrity continues to impress us. In an industry, where that is not always the case, it is refreshing to work with a builder that puts their clients and partners first.

This is the most amazing team to work with! I cannot say enough good things about them. Aaron and David were so wonderful, so helpful and really passionate about their work. Very hands on. They helped us stay on budget, kept the project on time, dealt with unforeseen difficulties with grace and ultimately helped make our dream a reality. It was a fun experience and we did enjoy the journey! These guys became more than just our contractors, they were friends. Shout out to our amazing architect, Catalyst Architects, who also made our dream a possibility and reality!

We could not have been more pleased with Celtic Works! After recovering from the flood of 2015, we were eager to find a contractor who would work with us - our personalities, our budget, and our tastes to renovate and add to our 170 year old home. Our Celtic Works home is better than I could have dreamed our first house would be. My husband and I have lived in our home for 3 years now and it still feels brand new. Not only that, the few minimal problems we have had over the years Celtic Works has been quick to step in and help. It's rare that your builder knows you by name and is willing to fix issues 3 years out or send the right people who they trust out to your home. It feels like we bought our home from friends that have our best interest in mind. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home.

My experience with Celtic Works has been out of this world. I had a "dream" way back when, almost 6 years ago, that involved Celtic Works building my dream home. I thought it would stay a dream...well...fast forward to now, I coincidentally met John at a friend's home and thought it was fate and it was meant to be. We connected and knew this was my chance to have my dream home here in Columbia. It has since come true, and I'm loving every part of my house.

Celtic Works built my architect-designed house in 2009-2010. Every interaction, from our first meeting through contracting, site prep, building and finishing was stress-free and pleasant. The site manager was there or instantly available by phone throughout the process. The house has such quality built into every part of it - it makes me happy just to come home, and comfortable and relaxed while here. Celtic Works should be the only builder anyone would choose.

My wife and I purchased our Celtic Works home about 3 years ago, and we still walk around amazed that it's our house. The craftsmanship and attention to detail that Celtic Works provides is unlike any other. As mentioned above, it's been 3 years since we purchased the home and we still call our builder for questions and recommendations when we need help. They are always quick to respond and help us. Celtic Works built our house while we were still living in Cleveland, Ohio. They worked exceptionally well with our architect and kept us completely informed with updates and photos. They advised us well in advance of recommended walk-throughs so we could make our travel plans. Celtic Works connected us with other local, high quality resources to select custom cabinets, granite, tile, landscaping, etc. Bottom line, we were totally dependent on their professionalism, skills and advice and now, we would make all the same decisions.
