Orchard Keepers has created and maintained hundreds of home orchards, edible gardens, and native landscapes since 2004. We believe that healthy soil equals healthy plants and use only organic growing practices and materials. We prioritize longevity, aesthetic balance, and craftsmanship in all of our landscape installations.
Our staff specializes in a broad range of landscape care, including fruit tree maintenance, veggie growing and general landscaping. Larger estates with many varied landscape components require specialized care for each area. We offer the ease of having a single company manage all aspects.

It all began in a drippy forest in Oregon. After 18 years of New Hampshire winters, the young Matthew Sutton joined Americorps, hightailing his way to the Northwest for a year of building trails, caring for public lands, and discovering what the land had to offer. He discovered that he was never going back to New England, that the west coast could produce food year-round, and that horticulture was going to be his life's work.
Fruit trees live somewhere between thirty and a hundred years. Some varieties can even live over a hundred years if they are treated well. Needless to say, a relationship with a tree can last a long time, offering unique satisfaction to the home orchardist. Also, given our mild climate, we can pick fruit almost every day of the year in a mixed fruit orchard with proper planning and care.
Before you start digging holes for fruit trees, you should first investigate the best location for those trees. These trees have the potential to live decades - if not a century - if treated well and planted in a proper location. Deciduous trees need full sun throughout the growing season, while the evergreen fruit trees need full sun all year long.
