Really happy I went with Paul's Pool Magic. I called around and did my research and most places don't have a dedicated person to answer the phone. I was also impressed by Mike giving me a solid quote and what I needed with out trying to up sale anything. I'm super happy with the quality of my new Pool equipment with automation and LED Lights, plus my pool re-plaster came out great. I had a problem with my pump and although they don’t service my area they called me back and Mike came out the next day and replaced the pump. I was planning on replastering my pool so Mike gave me an estimate which was very reasonable. I decided to go ahead with the project. They drained the pool the next day and began the demo the following day. The whole project was done in exactly one week. I was impressed with their service and the quality of their work. Both Nicole and Mike were wonderful and I would highly recommend this company.

After seeing all the 5 star reviews for them , I decided to call them for pool leak detection. This was after 2 big companies failed to find the source of leaks. Paul’s pool magic does not provide service in my area but after listening to my story and after some persuasion they agreed to come out and take a look and at a reasonable fee. Paul’s pool magic is a fantastic operation, I have had them as my pool service for 7 years. They are extremely professional and responsive. Example of this is my heater went out two days before a big party and I called them and they jumped through hoops to make it happen the next day. Nichol is very courteous and drove out herself to get the heater for my install. Mike is one of the sharpest pool technical minds I have had work on my pool. Great experience and great value. Needed a new Pool Service company for my rental property in Riverside and I was referred to Mike at Paul's Pool Magic. Started using their services in April of this year and we have been 100% happy with our decision to go with Paul's. Even our tenants have mentioned how helpful and responsive Mike has been when they needed something done with the Pool. There are other companies out there that are less expensive than Paul's Pool Magic but I am a firm believer in that "you get what you pay for.". Had pool service here for a little over a year. I wasn't impressed. A few things happened that lead me to believe they were happy to take my money every month but didn't really proactively do anything they said they would from day 1. Filter cleaning 2 times per year? You would think they would proactively do this right? Nope. My filters got so bad, the jets in my spa didn't work. I had been having issues with my salt water system that needed to be fixed. I tried some repairs myself but determined that I could not fix it myself. I called Paul's Pool Service and spoke to the owners wife who was not only helpful but fun to speak with. The call was scheduled for the next day between 11 and 1 but I received a call asking if they could come early. Mike, the owner, arrive and promptly started to work and within abbot 15 minutes found the issue. A simple switched wire did the trick and the unit came to life.

We used this business to replace our pool pump June 2017 and were very happy with the service we received. LOVE the new quiet pump! A year later, I accidentally let the pump run dry for HOURS (oops). I was dreading the phone call thinking I ruined the pump. Pump wouldn't prime or if it started to, it wouldn't stay primed. Mike came out and started with a few obvious repairs (very low cost) and we tried that out. Still wasn't the problem but those items needed replacing anyway. Mike came back out and ran a few more diagnostic tests and he then moved on to how our filter was

WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE.
OWNER IS RUDE.
I have been a customer for over 10 years first time I have an issue I spent 1800 on valve problem. Never fixed. Hire new company only 700 and great service. They are only decent for basic pool cleaning do not use them for any repairs or fixing of motors or heaters. The pool guy that was coming tried to hit my dogs with a stick. A 4lb an 12lb dogs.
they wouldn't give me a timeframe so I could put dogs away. They have gone really downhill in the last year. I would steer clear !!

Absolutely love the service we have received from day 1! We were having major pool/spa issues that our previous pool guy just could not take care of, which lead us to look for someone else. I called and explained our issues, they came out the same day, and were working to resolve my issue the following day! They are a bit more than we were paying before, but your pool will thank you...every day we go outside and just admire how sparkling blue our pool and spa is!! I cannot believe what a difference it has made to our summer, we have been swimming almost daily!!

I was having problems with suction allowing the pool sweeper and filter to do their jobs. After trying a couple of things (including waiting on Leslie's Pool Supply for over 2 weeks because they kept ordering the wrong part -- Leslie's gets a zero on my review), and replacing pipe that I thought was the issue, I went on line and contacted Paul's Pool Magic. I explained my problems to a very nice lady, Lena, who set up an appointment for the next day. There is a $75, non-refundable service call fee, but it's well worth it to find problem. Paul and Mike are good dudes and are without a doubt good about what they do. Paul was out to do leak detection for an in ground pool at a rental property. After 2 short visits to my house he determined it was the pool skimmer that needed to be replaced. I asked him to give me a quote on repairs and he did. He was also paid for the leak detection job. He quoted me 3,000 - 3,500 for the repairs that were needed. As with any home project, I have the practice of getting 3 quotes and deciding based on price and quality. To be told that you will not come fix a pool light that you serviced and didn't put the gasket back on properly is INSULTING . A 500$ fix is completely unacceptable when It should've been done right the 1st time .
Apparently it's no fault of the company that they didn't replace it properly after completing service .
If you deal with this company your asking for trouble PERIOD

After struggling with our pool all summer, Mike and Paul came out and turned our pool from a green mess to sparkling and clear in one day!!! I can't say how much I appreciate these guys. They also fixed our pump, which 3 other companies came to look at and couldn't fix. We also went on service with them. I am very happy with this company. Worth every penny!!!

Having to replace the pool's pump was not on my mind when Paul and Mike arrived. They surveyed the leak I was having and provided me the pros and cons of servicing my current equipment. I appreciated the frank information they gave, and although, for me, the replacement amount was substantial, the fact that they took the time to explain the situation and allow me to size them up (honesty/competency) made my decision much easier to take.
My pool runs like a champ, and it hasn't been so clean in years. I plan on using Paul's Pool Magic very soon for other replacement/service issues

We hired Paul and company to assess what was wrong with our leaking spa and fix it. They came out, tested it, and determined that the skimmer needed replacing. We paid him almost 3k to replace it, and they assured us that they back their work. The spa continued to leak, so they came back out, did further tests, determined that there was another problem as well, and did what they determined needed to be done to fix that. Initially we thought we had found a good company to work with. The other day the pool servicemen came to the house and took apart our whole pump and filter with the intention of replacing it. They did not ask for our consent for this replacement project that would end up costing over a thousand or two thousand dollars. We had asked him to come back and replace everything he had done but he refused and hung up the phone in our faces. I don't think this is a very trustworthy company. They seem to be taking advantage of customers.

I wish we had found him earlier. We've used his services for the past year and have a beautiful sparkling pool. Our pool was frequently green and murky. A once a week visit by someone who knows what they are doing has made all the difference. Paul and those that work for him are knowledgable and professional. I had him come out and give me an estimate for the cost of replacing my Pentair Minimax NT. He gave me an outrageous quote of $3500. I couldn't show him the door any faster than I did. Estimates cost $75! He was at my place for 15 minutes - a quick profit on the way home from the other job he actually wanted to do.

Very unprofessional. Said he couldn't diagnose over the phone. Wanted 75 dollars just to come out and look at it. He did tell me over the phone that my equipment was outdated and I would need a completely new system. I called another company that told me what was wrong right over the phone and how much our would cost. Basically i needed a higher voltage timer for a new pump I had just installed (125 dollars). Paul assured me they don't make parts for my system anymore, etc, etc... consumer beware! Bad business!
