From the time he was a young child, Gene would take apart everything in the house to figure out how it works. From small appliances to television sets, he just always liked the inner workings. As a child he once designed and built a hang glider out of an old tent and "allowed" his brother Randy to be the first one to try it out by jumping off the top of the house.
Total Home Improvements was founded in 1991 by brothers Gene and Randy Firth. Gene was a real estate agent, working for a builder/developer. Randy had recently gotten out of a business with his father. In his business, Gene had discovered that many people who were selling their homes needed repairs done before they could close.
It was refreshing to see such pride in workmanship, and the attention to detail such as sanding the handrails, placing finals on the gate post and the clean-up that followed completion of the project. We are also pleased that we have been able to refer Total to friends and business associates, many of whom have already contracted with you as well.
The personal side of Total Home Improvements and their presence in the community are what have cemented Frank as part of our team. In his words, "It's more than sticks and bricks to us." With more than 25 years' experience and a dedication to excellence and integrity, Frank provides insightful designs for our clients.
Barry puts his 18+ years' experience to support his Project Mangers, meet with home owners, and help get our projects across the finish line. He not only is concerned that jobs get done on-time, but also about the homeowner's satisfaction and the quality work. Bringing more than 40 years' experience in the construction industry, Richard is expertly knowledgeable in all aspects of construction from the ground up.

Unprofessional and poor customer service. Ken came to my home 4 times over the course of 3 months to gather information and measurements for a kitchen renovation. Never once did he state that they don’t do new cabinets. After patiently waiting several weeks after his last visit, I was suddenly told the owner said I’d be better off with a cabinet company. This was disrespectful of my time. I will gladly go with the other contractor who truly provides a “total home” service.

We had a great experience with Total Home Improvement. Everyone on the team was professional, knowledgeable, personable, prompt, hard working and trust worthy. They kept us informed throughout the process of our new roof installation (home/garage, carpentry work on the garage and guttering (on our garage). They were very thorough on cleanup as well. We are so glad we chose Total Home Improvement and will call on them for future projects on our home!

This was our 2nd time we used Total Home Improvements to do some major work in our home. 13 years ago they put up a few walls on the first level and reconfigured our upstairs recreation space and painting. No regrets at all. This past couple of months we had them redo our Master bedroom, additional window installed, flex space off our master and a complete master bath remodel, and all common hallways and stairway custom 60 inch wainscoting with photo shelving and painting of all areas renovated and new toilet installed in hall bathroom. Painted front porch and replaced pillar and handrails. EXCELLENT

Hello, I am pleased to see that some people had a good experience with this supplier. I was not so fortunate. I hired this company to do a relatively small job at my house, something that would take one or two days to do. Well, when they were done, I inspected their work and found several serious discrepancies. They came back to fix those. I inspected again and found they didn't fix the discrepancies very well, and I discovered additional concerns. They came back a second time, and again didn't do so well for me. I ended up arranging with others to re-do most of their work. I hope my experience

The Total Team was excellent from the first contact. Chezarae knew exactly what Jeff was looking for! Chris, John and Spud were always professional. Their employees provide great, friendly service and are willing to take the time to listen to your requests. Then they work hard to accomplish an extremely professional finished project. We recently had a sunroom added on to our house by Total Home Improvements and were impressed with their pricing, quality of work, and reliability.
