This project was not for amateurs. Patrick provided a detailed and comprehensive bid that included all the work to be done. Although we did not have detailed drawing to go over, I can tell you that it was planned out down to the precise materials list and the drawing provided to the City for getting the permits must have been excellent from an engineering perspective, because we passed all the building inspections (about 5 or 6) the first time without exceptions. ( I included a picture of the facing of the house and how it looked before the roof line was extended out 14 feet so you could appreciate

Avoid C.O.L at all costs is, right. Patrick does not live up to his contract or stand by any mistakes he makes. And there were a lot!!! We contracted with him for a sizeable outdoor living area with total enclosed space, roof and grill. A couple weeks into our project, we had a thunderstorm; his workers did a poor job protecting our home as they were building the roof’s deck and we had massive water damage on two levels. The rain kept coming in through the walls and light sockets and he was no where to be found. Finally he called us back (he is totally unresponsive), and he did not feel “the

Craftsmanship, attention to detail and a thorough knowledge of building codes are Patrick's hallmarks. Every inspection passed the first time, including the work of his subcontractors. This was a large, complex project hampered by weather and COVID related building supply issues. The end result was spectacular! Exceeded my expectations. I am very happy.

We hired Creative Outdoor Living (Patrick) to build a covered back deck with built in BBQ grill, patio, gas fire pit, and sitting wall. The work was superb, done within the promised timeframe, and the talk of the neighborhood. We were so pleased we hired them a second time to build a covered front porch with the same results. Countless people have driven by our residence and commented on the appearance, quality of the work, and how well the addition blends easily and smoothly into the existing house. C.O.L. is an excellent deck builder. The attention to detail is impressive. After my deck was built, a custom home builder from Kansas City visited. He is a very particular builder. He actually got down on his hands and knees ti inspect our deck and he examined the structure underneath. He commented that is was very well done and was up to his own standards.
