Holmlund Lock & Key service was started in the 1980's in Miles City, Montana. The original operating premise was a simple one: provide the very highest quality lock and key services to the residents of Miles City at fair prices. The reputation for quality of service grew quickly, as did the list of services offered.
As their sterling reputation for unparalleled service and expertise grew, so did the Holmlund Lock & Key service area. First it was ten miles outside of Miles City, then twenty miles, then fifty miles - and by the year 2000, Holmlund Lock & Key was getting regular calls from as far away as Billings.
Needless to say, travel was becoming an issue - for two reasons: 1) it meant that the locksmiths could work on fewer issues every day and 2) the customers' invoices had to include travel, which lead to higher costs. Holmlund Lock & Key set about to eliminate both problems.

Services
Holmlund Mobile Lock & Key originated in August of 1983 in Miles City, MT by Ken Holmlund. Ken ran the business independently serving Eastern Montana until April of 2011. Today, Ken's daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Michael Hauber own the business. While Michael is out in the field, Joni is in the office.
We're using the header 'automotive' here on our website to cover an awful lot of locksmith work. After all, an ATV is not considered, technically, to be in the automotive category - but we do lock repair and replacement for ATVs. Then there are those nice pull behind campers, which also do not fall neatly under the automotive category.

Chuck was a life saver! Locked my keys in the truck, he tried to help me find someone who could get there sooner, but it didn't work out. After a short wait he was there and unlocked my truck almost immediately! Professional, Prompt and Excellent customer service, he even cut me an extra key on the spot to help ensure it wouldn't happen again! Highly recommend!!

I was up skiing at Red Lodge the day after Christmas and lost my keys while skiing. I called around and was recommended to Holmlund Lock and Key. I gave them a ring and got a quick response from Chuck who was more than willing to drive from Billings to Red Lodge to make me a key so I could get home, for far less than the Dodge Dealership (who would have required my truck be towed to Billings first.) These guys have really fair pricing and amazing customer service, I could not recommend them enough.

Chuck was such a life saver when we locked ourselves out of our home! He showed up quickly, was very efficient and friendly, and he even made us new keys! He was also very affordable! We were so worried we were not going to find someone to help us, as it was almost 8 in the evening, but we are so glad we found Holmlund Mobile Lock & Key! Highly recommend!

I locked my keys in my truck and saw Holmlund had great reviews, so thought I'd give them a try. While I did not actually have services from Homlund due to their little one being down for a nap, Chuck was very friendly and offered to give me the information to someone he trusts very much. I ended up going with his suggestion, which was Billings Unlocked. Thank you Chuck for being a great family man (family is important too!) and offering me a way to solve my problem!
