Greenland Landscape & Masonry was founded in the 1980's, an era of horticultural excellence, by Marta and Mike Garland. We started working in the Atlanta area renovating residential landscapes. Mike, who was already skilled in landscaping, learned to do brick and stone work by working with masons from England and Wisconson.
The front door was hidden by a stone wall. Guests had to use the narrow side steps at garage. To make a more inviting entrance we removed a section of the wall and added a generous staircase to the front door. Italian pottery flanks the steps. Project 2: Koi Pond: Homeowners had a professionally built koi pond.

A friend referred me to Greenland Landscape & Masonry when I had exhausted all ideas on how to improve my backyard at my new home. Marta Garland, co-owner, is a master gardener and landscape designer. She met with me, took photos of my property and, within a week, presented me with a design for a maintainable new landscape. Marta has a keen eye for envisioning a design that incorporates the existing landscape. In addition to installing native flowers and shrubs, Marta's husband Mike Garland built a retaining wall to combat an erosion problem and also added a beautiful flagstone patio with a 3 foot

We hired Marta and her Greenland Landscape and Masonry staff to redesign and update the shrubs and greenery around our home. From our very first meeting until completion Marta was kind, helpful, professional and insightful in her comments to us regarding what would be best for our project.
