Called when my AC stopped working in August. Luckily it happened just after we had a lot of family and friends staying with us! It was a 20+ yr old unit and not working real well at this point. Arne came out quickly and determined the compressor was not turning and might be stuck. He tried to get working using a booster but that only made it work for a few seconds, then it stopped again. He recommended a new unit, which after some research seemed best option. He quoted me a very competitive price for a new 5-Ton Trane unit. Air Rite came to the rescue last August when our HVAC unit finally bit the dust. We knew it was coming as it was an older unit, but of course it happened when it was 100+ degrees out! Arne found us a replacement unit & had everything installed with a great new thermostat within days. All technicians were helpful & kind & it was a pleasure to speak with Anna in the office too! All around great service!

We needed to have our AC unit serviced and called Air Rite. The woman who works in the office was attentive and kind. They were really busy because it has been so hot but she let us know the soonest they could send someone out. When the technician arrived he was kind and courteous. He went above and beyond to clean out the leaves that were in our unit and made it ready for summer. Thanks Air Rite!

Air Rite certainly did right by me! Our 20 year old HVAC system, which had been nursed along for the last few years, finally gave up the ghost. Arne came out and assessed the situation and recommended a reasonably priced replacement system. This morning he sent his team of Cameron, Daniel, David, and Keith, and they went to work. Before 3:00 p.m. on this wickedly hot day in the North County (105°+), they got our new furnace and air conditioning units installed, up, and running. Thank you, Air Rite!

As the caretaker for a senior gentleman in Atascadero, I was concerned for his health and safety during a recent cold snap. I called Air Rite, explained the situation and they made getting my patient's needs taken care of a priority. The service technician was knowledgeable and professional, going above and beyond and taking the time to listen to my patient's own diagnosis. From initial call the receptionist kept telling me have to check the schedule and get back to me. She never actually returned my call. When i hadnt heard from her by 11am each day i would call her to check in. After 4 days i was told the next day i was on the schedule for the am. Never showed. At 2pm i got a call from the service man telling me not today, maybe tomorrow have to check the schedule. I called "Air Left" at 220 pm, he could tell i was frustrated and had my AC repaired and running by 410pm. Same day.

I bought a brand new house with a Daikin Room Air Conditioner. The air conditioner leaked. On October 7, 2016, I called Anna to have someone come out and look at it. She promised I would get a call to set up a time for a visit. That didn't happen, so I called again. She apologized indicated they were very busy. Several calls and no action. My warranty is about to expire, so I called again mid July 2017 and Anna again promised someone would get back to me. I am still waiting.

My Residential AC unit was having issues. They were flexible with schedules and showed up on time. Mike diagnosed the problem with the fan motor and fixed it on sight.
A couple days later my commercial Air conditioner at my office needed to be checked following a power outage. Arnie came out a few hours later. He was able to make sure the units were in order and he located the internal filters that needed to be replaced.

You start your experience by contacting your contractor letting them know your unit needs repair. They send Air Rite a service email. Two weeks pass, you decide to follow-up and ask the status. The contractor decides to email Air Rite for a follow-up asking to make an appointment immediately. Ana in the office with Air Rite calls to schedule an appointment for a Friday first thing. She informs you that "we will call you back to confirm your appointment." Friday morning comes and after no follow-up and 30 minutes of waiting, you decide to call Ana back. Job was contracted in May and it is now almost October and still waiting. We have called them weekly and recently daily with the same response, "someone will be there next week". It has been months, summer months over 100 degrees, in a building with no AC. It was 103 degrees today and we had to have multiple people go home due to it being too hot inside. Terrible service (or none depending on how you look at it), no response, not worth the effort.

Let me tell you why this company should have "10" stars. First you need to know we had attempted to get our forced air heating fixed by another company from Templeton (posted a review on their sight). After waiting several days for the other company to return after their initial visit (said they needed to order a part). After many cold days without even a call back we called "Air Rite" in Atascadero. We spoke with Rick (the owner of the company) and explained our dilemma and frustration with our attempt to get it fixed. He understood and said a technician would be to our home

Great service at a great price. When my parents needed an entire new heater system Air Rite took care of it. When our heater recently went out Air Rite took care of it. Arnie came out diagnosed the problem and had us back up and running in no time. Great doing business with a small family owned business.

Quick, responsive and affordable. Air-Rite installed an attic fan for my family in the 110 degree heat. After calling the office in a sweaty panic, I received a quick call back from the company and within 2 days, they had serviced my AC, ordered and installed the fan. They were very honest in my dealings as they could have recommended an expensive unit replacement, but instead offered to lower cost and effective route of an attic fan (I had no idea!) to get us through a couple more summers. I would highly recommend Air-Rite to any homeowner in need of a repair, service or replacement. Very appreciative

We contacted Air Rite for equipment repair in our business a few months back, we sit today with a unit that is still not repaired. At this point, we have contacted another company to fix any and all issues either missed or created by Air Rite.
Not only was the work not completed, the customer service is seriously lacking both in office staff and technicians. Of the many attempts to reach someone at this business, I get an answering service that relays a message to "one of their technicians" I have received one call back on my voicemail from Rick and called him back within 1 min; reached his answering service and again had to leave at least two additional messages to have him call me back: 2 days later. We needed a pan replaced under our AC, they came in and replaced the entire unit, even though it was working fine. Then they caused an electric fire in our apartment (we have a newborn), and we had to get our kid to a doctor for smoke inhalation. After all this, the new unit they put in is faulty and it's the middle of summer. This was early last week. They told us someone would be out today (Monday) to replace the part, but no one has shown up. We've called a few times to ask about an ETA for repair, and the best they'll tell us is "we'll check our schedule".
