I've used Chip for several years at my home and at my mothers home. He does a great job and is able to remove pet mishaps when he does my semi annual cleaning. (Granted I don't allow my dogs to urinate all over the place, but they do occasionally make a mistake) I like the Chem Dry process over other companies because the carpet isn't as wet when job is done.

The verdict is in and it isn't good! We tried to use our normal upright cleaner in one room after our dog was sick in one corner of the room (spot bot bit the dust) and getting the carpet wet made the whole room smell like urine (which was not from the dog). I called to ask and was told that the protectant coating does have an ammonia-like component to it which might have caused the odor. We shampooed that room three times and it still reeks. I was told they'd call me back to schedule a time to come out and try to fix it but it's a month later and I have not received a call. My subsequent
