Tuckpointing is a process in which old, damaged mortar or bricks are removed and replaced with fresh bricks and new mortar. Old brickwork needs fresh tuck pointing when deterioration of the mortar or brick has occurred.
Replacing the old weathered window sashes in the basement with glass block was an excellent idea. Our house is now a lot more air-tight, much more secure, and way nicer looking than before.
