SEED Homes LLC is a new company formed in 2020. It is the Design Build branch of Trillium Architects LLC and its mission is to offer pre-designed prefab green homes in a predictable, cost efficient and easy way. The SEED Homes Models offered here will be super energy efficient, sustainable and healthy homes in the 800 sf to 4,000 sf range (most houses are between 1,600 and 2,500 sf).

Trillium Architects took on the demanding task of preparing an architectural plan to take a dilapidated home in Ossining NY and convert it into a medium sized certified Passive House with particular facilities for aging in place for our family, using resources largely available from local sources in the lower Hudson Valley, and with a limited budget, and ready to have a green roof as well as photovoltaic solar panels. The work started in December 2017, a design complete enough to be priced by two builders was prepared, a builder started work in October 2018, and they are providing assistance each

As an insulation contractor who worked on many of Trillium's projects, we've always found Elizabeth and her team a pleasure to work with. Her blueprints were detailed and her plan to tackle the thermal envelope is always thoughtful with a focus on practicality, longevity with a touch of uniqueness. We chose Trillium for extensive renovations and are thrilled with the transformation to a 'beach house modern' home that maximizes the beauty of our waterfront property. Elizabeth and her team took every opportunity to make the house more energy efficient, and there is no wasted space. They were as attentive to details as to the big picture, astoundingly creative, and a pleasure to work with. They even created a gorgeous piano practice space that is acoustically fit for professional recordings and doubles as a guest room.

We wanted to add a master bedroom suite on a new half-floor on our house, which posed a challenging design issue in terms of where to put the new staircase in our open-plan living room. We are absolutely thrilled with the plan Trillium helped us design. Then they went the extra mile(s) to help us navigate the municipal approval process when there was initial push-back from Zoning, who did not know how to negotiate the mid-century modern design of the house. So grateful to have had the Trillium team take the lead in that whole process.

I was impressed with the work fom Trillium Architects since before I ever owned a house. I had been looking for houses in CT when I lived in Florida and fell in love with an LEED home that had been recently sold. I liked it so much that I called the real estate agent to ask if she knew who had the previous owners used as an architect, and got the name for Trillium architects. We really enjoyed working with Trillium Architects on our recent renovation project, and are very satisfied with the results. We extensively renovated an historic house. Elizabeth improved the flow of the layout, while maintaining the historic features and sensibility.
