Tri-Pups has taken care of us over the last few years and given us a nice driveway gate so we could keep our dog safe! And they helped us with a broken dimmer switch & new lighting install in our living room.
They are straight forward and to the point when it comes to the work they can do, available resources for supplies, and timing it will take to accomplish the job.
I have truly enjoyed working with Debbie, Chris, and Ted they are down to Earth and easy to chat with about things I may or may not have experience with in home maintenance/updates (e.g. Electrical, Fencing/Gate).

One extra star since they can tear out, albeit a high cost. Cost me $1040 for tear out and install. First pic is post-tear out, rest after install. No floor fill with anything but bare wood planks. Did not make them flush with sides of cabinets to fill otherwise. Cut most of the back of sink base out on 3 sides (without consulting me) to fit old pipes (which are going to be removed/replaced) leaving space for things to fall thru/under. Their solution to fill gaps otherwise is just spray foam. Toe kick haphazardly/unevenly attached (last pic) leaving gaps. After I called countertop installer to

I hired TriPups and paid their asking price ($1040) for a tear out and reinstall. I was not happy with the way it looked and how they left it. I asked them to come back and take the sink base out - which I would pay them for, my mistake - and that I would proceed myself from there. Instead, they quoted other work and said (via email) they had no time to come back out again, suggested I hire another contractor closer to my home. I posted a Google review (and here) which apparently they take offense to, and instead of reaching out to try to make things right (or simply quote me for what I asked)

Chris, Debbie and Ted were friendly and professional and the job was done well. They also kept to the estimate they gave us. We were under a time constraint for prep for another job and they came through for us. The job was completed ahead of schedule and made it possible to visit our grandson for his birthday the following weekend. For us they, they underpromised and overdelivered. We enjoyed working with them and would hire them again.

Start to finish they were professional, communicative, timely, dependable and did an absolutely beautiful job on our commercial floor repair and replacement . Great attention to detail. I was able to run my businesses and never stress about this project from the moment they came through the doors for the estimate to completion which was right on time. There are three colors I never want on the walls in my home. Blue, yellow or PINK.
I needed my dining room painted. Went to Home Depot and selected the perfect Egg Shell muted color I thought was fantastic. I bought it. Called my trusted Tri-Pups, and boom... left for work with my dining room in tact. I get home and the room is empty, repairs were done, primer was applied, one wall was painted. The ceiling was beautiful. They were coming back the next day so there was no need to put the furniture back. There was no dust to be found.

The most outrageous estimates I ever seen in my life! Here is an example of what I am talking about: I completely removed a bedroom door, the frame and the trim. I hung a brand new pre hung door.
The work involved:
1. Squaring the frame out... just a few minor adjustments. It was almost done for him!
2. Cutting off the shims that where sticking out past the walls on each side.
3. Cutting 6 pieces of Trim and nail the Trim up: (8) 45-degree cut at the top and (4) Straight cut at the bottom: Super simple & Super quick cuts for the inside and outside of the door). Maybe 10 Minutes.

I highly recommend Tri-Pups! They are very professional! Tri-pups fixed my sink. It fell out/got dislodged from the countertop over the weekend. They say that they service Wayne County, but when I called them for an estimate I was told that they won't come to Detroit because they're afraid their cars will be stolen... I've lived in my house for several years now and have never had anything stolen. Very offended and would never recommend them.

By far the WORST contractor I've ever worked with. Short cuts left and right. DO NOT USE THEM. When Chris arrived on site his first day on the job, we had to print out his quote because he did not remember what was in the specifications. We should have taken that as a major red flag but gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Debbie and Chris did another great job at a good price. I have a rental, and the particle board cabinets fell off the laundry wall. I guess that is what happens when you have particle board cabinets over time. I told Chris I wanted sold wood cabinets to match the cabinets in the kitchen. He selected the cabinets and installed them. They look great. I and my tenant are very happy with the work. I will use them again and tell my family and friends to use them if they want quality work done at a fair price.

This business is fabulous! We use their services for everything that needs to be done in our home. So far, they have painted our garage and basement floor, installed gutters, and fixed stairs. We especially appreciate that they are LGBT friendly, the workers are always courteous, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, we got a nifty holiday gift from them in the mail! When Chris came to give me the estimate for my porch to sun-room conversion, he listened to what I wanted, the only contractor that did. He then did what I wanted, in the time frame and budget we had agreed on. He and his whole team were courteous, careful of my home and cats, excellent at their jobs and a joy to have around. I have been a home owner for over 40 years and have never worked with a contractor as good as this.
