Tree removal is not our favorite thing to perform, because we believe that trees are vital to the environment. Dealing with trees is how we generate our living. Storm damaged tree removal is a necessity here in Volusia county and the surrounding areas. Living in Florida, we receive a vast amount of storms during the rainy season and hurricane season. These storms can wreak havoc on the trees during the day or night. When tree limbs break or the tree is uprooted, it can cause extensive damage to your home or business.
Stump grinding is a service that many of our clients and people in general do not know about. It involves a vast amount of effort and training. The equipment used in this service is highly specialized. When a tree is removed, the stump of the tree is left behind sticking out of the ground. The stump usually has a massive root system that makes removing the stump nearly impossible.

They arrived at the appointment time as agreed upon and were very professional. They took care to not disturb any of the areas they were not working on as to cause the least amount of impact as possible. Their equipment was well maintained and new which made the whole process run smoothly and without incident. I would recommend them to anyone looking for tree service and will likely have them return to do some additional work. Great job guys!

Daniel and his sons have come out a couple of times over the last few years to help remove trees around our house. They have always gone out of their way to make sure the trees were taken down safely and without damaging the yard. I cannot recommend them enough.

I was pleased with the work done by Daniel Hickey and his two sons. They have a lot of equipment to meet any job challenges. They took down a dead forty foot high twenty five inch diameter oak tree for me. They definitely know what they are doing as they work carefully and are a good team. I thought the cost to cut down and remove the tree was reasonable. Tree services are not cheap these days! Daniel answered all of my questions and was friendly. I would recommend them.

October 13th, 2020, Daniel Hickey's Tree Service came to my home and cut down and removed two oaks and the remaining stumps.. They also trimmed a queen palm. Great care was taken and the yard was thoroughly raked and cleaned of debris when they finished. Outstanding work and reasonable prices. They should be your first choice when considering tree work.

We lost a large portion of our large tree this morning. We live on a private road
with one way in and out for all of our neighbors. We called Daniel Hickey & they came out and cleared the road. Because it was Saturday their family came & did the job. What delight to do business with such wonderful people. They will be removing the rest of the tree soon. I highly recommend these fine folks.

We are extremely pleased with the work done by Daniel Hickey's Tree Service. The crew and foreman were prompt, courteous, well spoken and treated each other with professional respect. The two very large trees were in delicate locations around our home and they worked like a well oiled machine, cutting, removing and hauling away the debris. They raked the yard, blew off the sidewalks and left our property in perfect condition. We are retired ladies and appreciate this excellent service and can whole-heartily recommend this company.
